I found quite...strange art of a doll franchise, while looking for an artist via Google Images.

I personally think that the spider chick pic is drawn well, and that the coloring for the second and third pic is nice, but comparing it to the SFW pictures, that are true to designs, I'm wondering why someone would draw progressive art for...dolls. The anatomy is also very wonky, especially in the first one. The second one has canon piercings, but the artist in the NSFW one made her piercings and plant features in a unattractive, creepy way.

On the subject of tumblr artists and Paint tool Sai, back in the day, all the 12 year olds on Deviantart who made those low quality ms paint drawings. thought using Photoshop would magically make their art better. Here it's more if the same mentality, except with a new program people are putting on a pedestal.

People often confused fan canon with headcanon so much that both term became one of the same. Even headcanon, you have to some decent evidences why this headcanon. Maybe headcanon sounds better than fancanon.
It's funny too because they are artists like kool aid girl, who used Ms paint and only that. It make people realized it is not just the program itself, maybe just them not experimenting enough within the program itself. I get it, not every program is not good for everybody.
It reminds me the time when my friend want me to get Sai so badly because it has more tutorial but I have Mac. So it was impossible. Now, I have mediabang. The program update a lot for free, however there is very little tutorial, so I have to explore on my own at times
