this made me realize something
tumblr refuses to make female characters sexy or sexual, theyll never draw them in booty shorts, crop tops and fishnets. but they love drawing male characters that way
i genuinely looked at this and thought "oh its a guy isnt it" because of how much they love sexuallizing guys, but the world would end sooner than they'd let a girl out the house w her ankles bare for the village men to see

Ana was pretty much the only one I thought looked better when she was edited - she doesn't look as grizzled as 76, Reinhardt, Torb or Reaper in game, and she doesn't look as old, either. Orisa doesn't exactly change at all, but the rest is just... Yikes

And all of these drawings show that a lot of artist on tumblr just copy one another and follow each other to make one ugly mess of art.

On a conceptual level, the whole "let's sexualize men the way they sexualize women" idea isn't a terrible one. When done right, it can be funny and subversive.

The problem is, as you pointed out, the double standard Tumblrinas use to justify it. Another problem is that they don't view what they're doing as perverse; they veil their fetishistic interest in cross-dressing as "trans representation uwu". Not to mention, it's played completely straight with no self-awareness whatsoever.

And all of these drawings show that a lot of artist on tumblr just copy one another and follow each other to make one ugly mess of art.

It's the horrifying result of years of art inbreeding.

but when you look at his legendary skins

but when you look at his legendary skins

They can't understand the concept of tans because they never go outside.

Lots of white people can tan really well, Mr. Nekro goes from pasty Greman/Irishman to blue eyed Mexican color in the summer.
