and this is harumi, the villain from the latest season. she manipulated lloyd by pretending to be in love with him when he was in love with her, aka hurting the fandom's precious uwu bean. note how she's white (despite her vomit skintone). the squinty eyes on this also make me think of asian stereotypes, which are totally fine when used on a villain, just like white skin! /sneed

And body type too. Seriously, can these people even look up a fat person or a skinny person for once? Hell, use the shape technique! Basic stuff like rectangles, triangles, and circles; it works wonders! All of this artist's works look exactly the same. Same template, Same face, same body type. How the hell is that supposed to be underweight? They all look like the same chunky bodytype. Over and Over. Surely, this artist can do better and improve, right? (I hope).

For a site that constantly complains about people being cisgender, straight, and skinny being so awful and that fat, hairy, and vitilego is good for diversity points, it really shows when when these people can't draw neither of them.

Underweight =/= chunky

Also, I love that comment about "cis (sorry)". I don't know what that anon's experience with people is, but come on. Because over a majority of the population is soooooo bad guys! Everyone's a victim in Tumblrinaland, I guess.

First off, what the fuck is that blue layer on the top of their eyes? Don't get me wrong, I like me some lighting. But in those last two drawings, they make no sense! Is there any light surrounding them that would imply that their eyes are blue? Not that I can see! Who would have a blue light in a brown and red room? That not only sounds stupid, but it leads me to my next point.

Look. You either can do backgrounds or you can't. If you can't, don't! There's nothing wrong with drawing a cute character on just a solid background. But in the case that you're bad at backgrounds, but you're masochistic enough to both try it and post it, adding a blur effect to whatever fuckshit you make won't improve it! If you want to make a kickass gradient, add more colors! Don't blur it and then leave it at that! You look lazy!

Also, I can't believe that this is still a problem with these Tumblr artists, but change up your fucking faces! There is absolutely nothing differentiating your faces outside of the eyebrows. Same round eyes, same dull, triangular noses, same wide mouth, same smooth ass white teeth. Change it up! Skill is way more important than style! It doesn't matter that your pieces aren't instantly recognizable, if it's good, it can stand on it's own.

This is a 4/10, no doubt. I can't fucking believe these are the people that think they can get into art college.

I wouldn't say all of them will. It depends where you go. Some art schools are waaaayy more strict than others and in some cases it depends if you have money or not.

I doubt these artists have a lot of money (let's admit that only so few of these lolcows are exceptions not necessarily the norm) they either:

A) get a huge wake up call when their portfolio gets rejected and they have to "git gud".

B) Pull a Rory and have a rich mommy or daddy to get you in to waste your time until you get out and realize you're too stuck up to make connections and network so you screw yourself over.

C) Pull a full on Dobson and ignore reality and get progressively worse as you further fade into obscurity.

or D)

Stop making artwork for brownie points, draw what you like regardless of what people say, actually try to improve yourself and your artwork, don't make asinine excuses and admit when you're wrong. Also...learn to draw backgrounds and to have self respect because goddamn do these artists need to stop projecting onto their art. It hurts it.

But how much do you want to bet they either face scenario A and just bitch about how art is racist and that everyone is out to get them and shit?
