I know the Enid thing has died down, but why is are people so triggered at a girl being skinny and curvy? It seems that there's an unspoken rule on Tumblr, where no one can be skinny and thick without being chubby.

I'm guessing because these users are young and don't know how to "show not tell", they can't show that a character likes science (even though that particular character isn't interested in science btw) so they have to spell it out for you. It's the same reason why you get long amounts of text on a shirt explaining a person to be gay. They really don't know how to "show" character traits without preaching.

It's like if you drew a character. You wanted to show they are happy. What would a character designer/regular artist do? Give them pigtails to show they're naive, maybe draw them in athletic poses, show them jumping for joy, smiling, etc..

"SJW" artists take a character, make them "WOKE" and instead of drawing them out fully, crop them at waist to avoid drawing the entire body and have a shirt saying "sunshine and rainbows" to show a "happy" character. Also, they may or may not have a weird scrunched up face.
