Are the Winx club characters teenagers? The amount of times he draws these characters in a veeery sexual manner is pretty skeevy if so imo. You're right that the artstyle is nice though, these are very well done concept sketches.

It might be a little creepy for us, but italian (and french/spanish) culture is much more casual about nudity and sexuality so the concept art isn't taboo or anything.

This is a typical "reference sheet", a lot of people on DA/FA tend to make these for their OC's. Typically they just throw in the necessary info, a few poses, expressions or small details to list, and give out the colors necessary if someone wanted to draw them. They're kinda based on the character model sheets and style guides used by cartoonists and animators alike.

It might be a little creepy for us, but italian (and french/spanish) culture is much more casual about nudity and sexuality so the concept art isn't taboo or anything.

Europeans tend to be less prudish than Americans in this respect.

I remember seeing this guy sometimes on instagram. Some of his stuff can be okay but when he does eyes like this they just look weird he even makes the pupils so small that they end up looking like googly eyes.

i kind of like the first two(they’re visually interesting and show a decent amount of technical skill), but that last one really suffers from grossly overly-saturated tumblr color palette syndrome.

idk but i did see an article saying it shows workplace misogny, and i was like "its just a show about a red panda who hates her job and sings death metal it ain't that deep"

i hate to say that the tumblr crowd is right about anything, but dealing with misogyny is genuinely a big part of the story. it’s not obnoxious sjw bullshit though. it’s an actually good and funny approach to old sexist assholes in the workplace. i can see why sjws took it and ran.

It's less about tumblr and more about general "girls love badboys" syndrome. Sideshow Bob, being an evil psycho, gathered a huge amount of teenage fangirls who think he did nothing wrong. Cecil is his brother who is more evil, more sophisticated and has a dumber motive (lost his dream job to his brother) so logically he gets even more teenage fangirls than Bob (who ship them together).

It's been brought up a few times that if they were to make actual OCs, no one would really give a shit.
It's just easier to latch on popular existing characters and project these ugly traits on them.
