Scar is narc ace, not gay. That is, literally too fucking wrapped up in oneself to be interested in anyone else. In the original script there is a song (which you can still find on youtube) where Scar only suddenly takes an interest in taking a mate when he gets the idea that he can have "little Scars" running around-- more of himself. If he was gay he could have had any roving male he wanted, and when you have that much power there is zero reason to hide it. He's not gay.

You want dumb and homophobic in practice, if Scar is gay then the message of Lion King is literally God Hates Fags.

The cowardly homosexual lion kills the true king and takes over, and the Pridelands start to wither and rot. God takes the rain away. Then the minute the noble heterosexual lion deposes the evil homosexual king, God forgives the Pridelands. He sends the rain to wash away the sin and bring the land back to life. Then the first thing the heterosexual lion does is breed, and everyone lives happily and heterosexually ever after.

For some reason this is preferable to Scar just being evil and the death of the Pridelands simply being a visual metaphor.

I was mostly referring to the SJW's wailing about Scar and Jaffar supposedly being ~queer-coded~ and calling Disney homophobic on that, which imo is dumb and homophobic on the SJW's side rather than Disney's. Because "-coded", in SJW-ese, often means "it's okay for me to stereotype people, lol".

Sorry for any potential confusion, I guess it happens. These SJW are dumb in any way.

I think that maybe these people are working backwards. They think that since they like being theatrical, they must be gay. Thus all the labeled identities that boil down to "gay person who only likes the opposite sex" or "trans person who likes the sex characteristics they were born with."

It also works on susceptible gay people in a more forwards way: they're told that, since they are gay, they ought to like being theatrical. And that's how bored straight people stitch themselves to the gay "community."

Yeah, I certainly don't disagree. My own point was that these people just fixate on something like this, no matter how stupid or self-defeating it makes everything around their fixation become.

I know, it wouldn't be too farfetched but shouldn't the idea that "she is a man because she has man proportions" be transphobic for them? Another female hero from the same movie (Brick) has comically manly body but i don't see people giving her the same attenttion.
