With this being my first post here, I have to ask: does "Muslim-ing" a character count? I don't really go out of my way to find hideous SJW/Tumblr art, and I just happened to stumble upon this, so I apologize if this isn't up to your guys' standards.

This artist in particular seems to take a liking to drawing Muslim women, likely because they're from Malaysia. This image in particular seems to be a tracing of another image from the same artist, which according to the folders on their gallery is also a tracing. From what, I don't know.

Aside from the hijab which is completely out of place on a character of Chinese descent, it seems to have some pretty shitty anatomy issues around the torso. Meiling looks like she's wearing a barrel under her top, as she looks way to thick and lacks any distinctive feminine curvatures. She's also been given longer sleeves, because the female elbow is temptatious I guess.

Meiling doesn't deserve this
If people want Muslim characters so badly, why wont they make original's instead?

I've seen better humanizations but these aren't awful. At least they're aesthetically pleasing and look like the characters they're based on. DestinyMoon's on the other hand...

She's no better than Rory when it comes to trans fetishism. Even others have commented that she plays up signifiers that would cause dysphoria such as body hair, etc.

yeah, the isabelle is boring and pretty much like every generic anime girl.
but she's identifiable and not ugly.
i still prefer these cookie cutter generic designs over any of the pandering tumblr shit, though. i'd rather have a forgettable design than a design that lurks in my nightmares.
the tom nook is cute though, that's a good example of making a character fat but not horribly deformed.
like, there's so many characters in that game that could be drawn as overweight, or non-white. just look at the chubby penguins. animals from continents like africa could easily be drawn as black when humanized. but tumblr likes making them all of these minority labels at once that never make sense and then slapping some vitiligo and pride flags on top of it to try and make it unique.
but it ends up being just as unoriginal as the generic animu shit.

Though if they’re looking for legit issues with the art style: what makes it ugly is that putting so much detail like body hair & stretch marks on a simply drawn lumpy potato body and detail-less face does not make for good contrast, and the figures are over-defined and under-defined in all the wrong places so they look lumpy.

Her popularity mainly comes from the time she did those "Not like other girl" redraws and most of her Tumblr followers (around 20k but not sure) also migrated to Twitter. And I think the guy who called her out was already disliked on Twitter because of "controversial opinions" (I have no clue what he did tho) so the big influx of new followers is probably from this guy's haters.

You should know by now that diversity means "brown" by default. Can't have anything that could be mistaken as white skin, it has be brown or that ashen colour that they insist upon using. Asians have always been that minority that's not really considered a minority depending on the day. Brown is safe because they can be African, or African-American, or Middle Eastern which gives bonus hijab points if female.

These fuckers give zero shits about "diversity", it's all about those sweet asspats and validation points.
