Not sure if this has been posted yet, but I thought I'd go ahead and drop it anyways.
I've lurked on Kiwi Farms for a while (specifically this thread), but never actually posted anything, because most of the communities I've been in are plagued by creepy middle-aged men, not Tumblr/SJW artists. However, I'm here now because of a one-person rat infestation I found while browsing the internet.
This author of this webcomic right here. Now, before anyone says anything,
no, it's not full SJW. The characters are pretty recognizable, they're not blackwashed or anything, none of them are really morbidly obese for no reason (unless they are in canon). My issue comes with the fact that literally
all of them are gay or trans. There's no in between. I have never seen someone butcher the characters this bad.
Now, I would say I at least appreciate the level of effort-if the art wasn't just slightly altered art from the show itself or bad self-inserts. The main premise is that it's post-canon (which makes no sense whatsoever, because it barely sticks to canon) and that the characters are supposed to be facing the traumas coming with the fact that they were exploited on television as teens. It was a relatively quick read (maybe like 10-15 minutes max?), so I would honestly just suggest skimming through because I refuse to download an image from this absolute garbage fire.
The author has a DeviantArt (how I initially discovered this) under the name "heathersuoh", and go by the pronouns of they/them (which I don't really understand, it's not important to me and doesn't effect me, so no big deal, but I think it's stupid nonetheless).
Now, what I was wondering, is if the creators are allowed to file a lawsuit. Obviously, it would be stupid, it's labeled as a "fan web-comic", and a big company trying to shut down some little Tumblr artist would be retarded, but they're trying to monetize off of it.
If you check the directory, there's a link to their merch-line. So, remember earlier how I mentioned that the characters and art from the show are reused/traced? Yeah. Like I said, it's not even worth it to go through the trouble, especially if you're such a big company, but I found the whole thing lazy and overall kinda douchey.
Edit: Just found this gem on their DeviantArt. I'm not even logging in, I don't wanna see it-the title says everything for me already.
