King Dice’s primary inspiration was Cab Calloway, so at least you could make a decent argument for a humanized version of him being black, despite this doodle having little resemblance to the late great Cab himself. It’s sad that this is the first contribution to Blaxploitation-Tober that comes the closest to using a canonically black character.

Wasn't there a whole nontroversy about King Dice being a racist caricature, because craps was seen as a black man's vice in the 30s? Does this add any irony to the woke blackwashing of the character?
