Seriously, these Rory-fied blobs are somehow supposed to be Achilles (dude with the helmet, duh) and Iphigenia (the sad girl in the flower crown). Two figures from arguably one of the saddest (at least in my opinion) Greek Tragedies turned into whatever the fuck that drawing is. It feels almost disrespectful.

It is a bit charming I'll admit, kinda reminds me of older animated movies mixed with the loose bean style of CalArts but in a good way. They know what they're doing with conveying what kind of character they're supposed to be (I'm not too knowledge about Greek mythology though) which is a step up from the usual shit you see in this thread.
What I don't get is why some characters here are black? It's fucking Greek! I know blah blah its folklore it's fiction but can they at least respect the origins?
Could at least go the funky skin colors route like Hades and that one webtoon I forgot the name of, but that doesn't get enough likes and retweets.

You know the Greeks were always in contact with North Africans, right? You can find Minoan objects that were traded to Egypt dating back 4000 years. Sure it was shrouded with exoticism but there were plenty of black people in Grece and plenty of Greeks in Africa. They were very well acquainted with each other.

Thanks for the mini history lesson, genuinely didn't know that! I think I'm just so tired of racebending in artwork nowadays that when I see something like that persons work I instantly think it's that even if it's not. SJW art damaged me and burnt my crops.
