Small update lending some credence to the story that there's been some behind-the-scenes crossover between UCS and
Bubblebowl Technologies.
The UCS-sock account mentioned someone from BBT going by the names Jeff / "Ben Walmsey" / Steroid User, claiming that Gaterud allegedly had some form of prior contact with them (tho I forget what form the sock claimed that contact took):
You may be familiar with Jeff as he's also known as Ben Walmsey.
Before you edited this portion, you also stated he went by Steroid User and said I should be familiar with him. I'm not, lmao

Why the sudden heel-turn on Gaterud from UCS?
Skimming back through the three Bubblebowl videos I archived within the VRChat OP (specifically two minutes into
this video), there
is this user whose name looks like it could
maybe be Ben Walmsey, tho it's difficult to tell through the low quality, and I doubt if this really is Ben Walmsey that someone would be able to source that name from this video:
Given that they seem potentially imminently relevant to the SF orbit, I decided to pull on a loose thread relating to Bubblebowl to get more information: on Sep. 9th, 2024, the user
@sebunsan had joined the VRChat thread to post new clips from BBT's Discord, in a manner that very clearly indicated he was a member of the group. I called this out and reported him as a risk user, after which his post was seemingly deleted:

Uh-huh, sure. Just stop targeting children, and if you're going to use the target being a pedophile as an excuse, then include the proof in the videos/clips.
Last night, I decided to ask mods if they could restore his post alongside the attachments, since the videos could potentially include helpful info, and luckily, they could!

And would you look at that! There is indeed a BBT member going by Ben Walmsley.
To me, this seems to indicate that there likely is
some level of truth behind the UCS-sock's claims. I'm personally unaware of there being any other publicly available sources of information on Bubblebowl, and assuming I'm not wrong about that, then to my knowledge, there wouldn't have been anywhere else for the UCS-sock to reasonably source the Ben Walmsey name from,
unless they had some form of contact / crossover with BBT themselves. Given that
that portion of their story seems likely to be true, I'm leaning towards tentatively believing the portion of their story about Gaterud being doxed.
