I believe that's called a warning shot.I did. It was dead for around nine months. Then someone dug it up and shoved it into my Google Alerts feed a couple weeks ago because they wanted to show everyone how good they are at misinterpreting reddit screenshots.
More like they're humping a tree in my yard while I go back and forth between laughing at and ignoring them.
My websites are still up, despite the ongoing attempts. About once a day they try something new, which I see eventually (it takes a while to notice because the attack isn't even strong enough to register on the graphs) and add another rule to the firewall. Eventually they'll run out of IP addresses that aren't banned so they'll get bored and will go back to rigging elections or drinking vodka or cutting or whatever. This attack hasn't even cost me a cent and it's been going for nearly a week now.
