My websites are still up, despite the ongoing attempts. About once a day they try something new, which I see eventually (it takes a while to notice because the attack isn't even strong enough to register on the graphs) and add another rule to the firewall. Eventually they'll run out of IP addresses that aren't banned so they'll get bored and will go back to rigging elections or drinking vodka or cutting or whatever. This attack hasn't even cost me a cent and it's been going for nearly a week now.

I believe that's called a warning shot.

I think you're bad at identifying attacks. That doesn't sound like an actual attack.

This just sounds like he set up his shit wrong. At most, all a regular Joe would send him is a DoS attack unless he decides to piss off another hacker group again, but given that it's a major time for elections there's no reason to bother with some autist with the computer skills of a gerbil.

I should mention that the mostly likely thing is that if it was an attack, it was one done by Skylar himself. It's not hard to set up one as pathetic as that. There's a lot of Linux tutorials out there to do so, and we all know how much a script kiddie this guy is.
