edit: forgot to add the recent trailer

this is pretty much destined to be shit

A horror movie based on pop culture almost has no chance of being good, and I'll be incredibly surprised if it is. PG-13 because they know mostly edgy kids like slenderman, so an R rating would cut down how many people in the primary demographic would watch this.

*sigh*

anynigger else remember back when season 3 of marble hornets was shapin up to be good and not an endless 3 year long waste of fucking time that just rehashed old shit and crashed and burned?

speaking as somebody who really quite enjoyed the whole slenderman thing at its height, that whole mythos has been pure cancer since 2012 when marble hornets first stalled and the slender game came out and caused a trillion autists and speds to swarm the "fandom". Once family guy started making slenderman jokes, the whole thing was 100% dead forever, like so many other old maymes

Sony and the quest to bring 2009 back.
You can't stop at one old creepypasta. Show me a trailer for the Jeff the Killer movie, then we'll talk.

....nigger dont even fucking JOKE about that. Fucking Jeff the Killer was the single most cancerous thing about creepypasta shit outside of Kris Straub

Oh noes! He's so skinny and tall! Look how long his arms are! How very scary, for some reason. He looks like one of those old timey alien type guys.

Herobrine is a better creepypasta than this, and no movie execs, that is not a suggestion! But then... they do seem to be completely out of ideas. And they are stuck in the past...

Coming Christmas '18, Bill Burr is Herobrine, Notch's dead brother or something, who turned into a ghost in a video game! Featuring Woody Allen as Jeb, with Notch played by the hologram of Tupak Shakur!

Never cared about Skinnyman and never will. But, to be honest I'll rather watch this movie than the adaptation Sony is making about Faith.

Looks like the dad of one of the girls who committed the Slenderman stabbing is against the movie being released at all. Guess when some crazy kids think the subject of your movie is real and attempt to commit a murder over it, there will be people who are opposed to the movie on the grounds of that. Who'd have thunk.
That stabbing basically killed all the slender man ARGs. Which is a shame. You can't forever taint the mythos because of some murder commited by retarded girls. The dad needs to drop it.

I expected those two tween girls would see it tbh. That second trailer was eye-roll worthy.
