I’ve been eagerly awaiting Phil’s second homeless saga; we might finally be getting it now.
Either that or he balled up and he said he’s kicking out the vodka ogre.
Either option would have more chimping out from Phil, though, so I suspect Toren is lying in an attempt to get sympathy, money, booze and/or asspats from the people following him. March 1 will probably come and go and he won’t even remember to talk about having to move.

As @I raped a dog 2day said, this could easily just be Slingblade shilling for $. Deadlines give e-begging a feeling of legitimisation and urgency, and Slingblade is an old hand at conning people out of money. It wouldn't surprise me if 1 March goes by totally unmentioned.
I would laugh my ass off if their harassment of neighbours finally means Phil's getting evicted, though. Phil has smug self-confidence that his landlord and mental health caseworker are happy to ignore all the other residents' complaints because they're apparently sick if them (or at least, that's what he believes) and so he can do whatever the hell he wants. He's the kind of tenant that would only be successful in a barn in the middle of nowhere. It'd be great for those other tenants if the pair of pigs in wigs were booted. I'm sure Phil's antifat comrades would welcome him into their homes, no problem at all. Oregon being what it is it's unlikely they're getting hoofed out, though.

Only if he knows he’s getting the boot. It’s also laughably possible that Phil is getting evicted, Toren knows they’re getting evicted but Phil is just too dumb to figure it out.
Honestly, though, I still think Toren is lying for money. He’s probably going to come up with some amazing miracle that comes up between now and March. And he won’t refund or even thank the people who send him the money he buys his cheap booze with.

I’m inclined to agree that one way or another, Toren’s lying. I actually would like it if Phil finally had the balls to kick his abuser out, but if Phil were capable of improving, he wouldn’t be a lolcow.

This means one of three things:
1) Toren is stupid enough to believe Phil's toy guns are real
2) Toren is lying for Phil so Phil can continue to think he's some badass antifa super soldier
3) Phil actually got a real gun
Option 1 is possible since Toren isn't especially smart and is usually so drunk he couldn't tell a real gun from a fake. Option 2 might just be Toren trying to keep Phil happy until he leaves, I dunno, but this one seems the least likely. Option 3 is going to end with something that's going to be on the local news in Portland. I mean, it will be funny if he shoots himself but tragic if he shoots someone else. I just hope Phil's lack of hygiene or gun maintance results in his gun getting fucked up before he can use it

Maybe one of Phil's shooting range friends let him take a gun home? It wouldn't surprise me if Slingblade is too drunk to realise Phil's airsoft gun isn't real though. Or the gun story is a convenient excuse, which is probably the most likely of all the scenarios.
Phil more than likely spends all his time prancing around the flat, posing with said 'gun' and pretending to take aim and fire. I can imagine such childishness would grate even on a drunkard like Toren's nerves.
