It has been used by many experienced and knowledgeable practitioners and there is plenty of evidence (mostly anecdotal, but evidence all the same) that it is effective.

Sluthate's love for this guy is not universal. Various users have pegged him as a ripoff artist - personally, I am not sure if he is a straight-up scammer or a sincere crackpot. Regardless, they typically fail to question the bad ideas on which his methods are founded, leading several forum members to try and save a buck by DIYing their own orthodontic devices.
