I mean...who hasn't done this before?calls into work to play a new videogame,
You had me in the first halfI always took Charlie and Zoey's relationship as if theyre both kinda annoyed with eachother but have been together so long they dont really end it. Zoey is some average woman, Charlie is a late 20s balding guy that lives in a shitty apartment, calls into work to play a new videogame, gets too drunk and makes an ass of himself, and doesnt seem to make a lot of money. Theyre realistic fictional
characters, I dont know why anyone gets so wrapped up in them. Redditor man
Seeing so many people furious over that scene is baffling to me since Zoey is barely even a character to begin with.I dont know why anyone gets so wrapped up in them.
Glep is rich becauae he'a green and retired. Is Glep rich because he's old?
You get an increased modifier to wealth as you get older. He's old because he's rich. Wealth increases longevity.
The sequel was genuinely amazing, scouring the ruins of neo-new-york in the cyberpocalypse, brasting down gatdam animal people, bball monsters and seeing Michael Jordan going rogue. Peak vidcon gaming.Space Jam was the shit to children that liked Looney Tunes and Basketball. Was it a perfect movie? No, but it came out in a perfect time
The soundtrack alone introduced me to R Kelly, B-Real, Method Man, the sound track was perfect for a kid to feel like an NBA all star.
Also the director apparently told Nathan Lane he was too gay for the role given to Wayne Knight so that's pretty cool.
Space Jam is in the weird category of films that I remember not liking it much on first viewing but only getting better afterwards, especially with how peak late 90's it was.I do not get the millenial reverence for Space Jam. The original was shit made to glorify a degenerate gambler who should have been barred for life from the NBA, and the sequel was just more of the same slop.
I was the biggest critic of this in the second season but they fixed it up and it flowed a lot better in this season, not lingering too much. It was more how Charlie would drone on and glaze people for no reason that I got bored with, I really like that they fleshed out the characters way more in this one so you could get genuinely invested rather than redditors extrapolating from nothing. They still left a fair few things open to your imagination too which I liked more than slowly spelling it out. This was another great season overall. I know people are probably getting tired of the small talk gag but I think it adds to the show. Most shows always have to have constant ear grating dialogue but for this I think it fits well. They're just some regular dudes in an office that go around and make people smile.
OOT: there is some mad lad who is currently porting the kickstarter demo of Barkley 2 into Godot, meaning there is a non-zero chance it might get finished up.IT's a shame we won't get Space Jam Gaiden 2. The first movie is a time-capsule of the 90s, for good and bad. It also has Lola Bunny, which was a furry bait like the Robin Hod fox of the 70s.
The second one was utter trash and had that blatantly untrue idea that bad 3d = better than 2d, which I bet is related to that idea of "kill the old" that it's all the rage lately. But hey, now we won't have a third one anytime soon. Success?
Actually, what happens to the Looney Tunes now? Will Bugs Bunny become an actual tranny?
Maybe wishful thinking, but I wonder if they're is a connection to the studio he and Cusack are openingFrom scrolling the credits there are at least 80 people who directly worked on it, which seems wild for an animated YouTube Christmas episode. Animation and video quality definitely reflects that.
But Jin Roh wasn't rotoscoped? Production I.G has always done very detailed, realistic animation.Rotoscoping can be done well in a serious style. Jin Roh The Wolf Brigade is entirely rotoscoped and is a classic.
