Very meh episode. I'd say the 2nd worse of season 2 so far only surpassed by the president episode. I gotta say it bros, gotta be honest despite how much I like Zach... I think Smiling Friends is overrated.
I think *you're* overrated. XD

Yeah its fine to break away from the formula just as long as the show keeps being a comedy.
Hopefully we can get 1 or 2 episodes a season that call back to season 1's premise of making a client smile.
I like that the show is ramping up the mean-spirited humor more.
Alan kicking the blue secretary critter in the Gwimbly episode was legit one of the funniest things.

That ending cracked me up. I can envision people being genuinely upset by it because their autism supercedes their ability to detect a joke.
I've always been somewhat baffled by how furious the flat Earth thing makes people. Obviously it's not true and those that believe in it are stupid, but it just really makes people seethe for some reason despite being such a harmless conspiracy theory.

Also I thought the episode was pretty good, I can sort of see where the Rick and Morty comparison comes from in some bits, but it didn't take anything away in my opinion.

I'll be honest, I wasn't feeling this episode all that much. Maybe the space travel stuff reminded me too much of Rick and Morty, a show I am burnt out on.

That said, the reveal at the end nearly killed me, so they won me over at the end. That was fantastic!

I agree, but I think this was the second weakest episode of the season for me. Middle part sagged too much and needed to be tightened up, but start with the ufo hunters and end escape were good. Alien party was too close to rick and morty but the I appreciated the beavis and butt-head style drug trip sequence. The twist at the end saved the episode for me. I honestly would have saved this episode idea for season 4 or 5 after the smiling friends world has been explored more. I suppose it was foreshadowed with the ufo easter egg in the Brazil episode?

What do you guys think will happen first? Smiling friends has a szechuan sauce tier moment like the mcdonalds freak out? Or zach saying the nigger word makes the rounds on twitter? I doubt either effects the show but one is bound to happen with certain sensitive elements now posting about the show.

Its more just redditors being incapable of just letting people be wrong. Sure the flat earth is absolutely retarded and I question the mental faculties of those who genuinely believe it, but I ultimately don't care since its harmless at the end of the day.

Redditors are thought police though and impotently demand everyone step in line with their thinking. Only flat earthers are as obstinately stubborn as them and such is the great seething both groups create for each other from their stubbornness and perceived (and entirely undeserved) sense of self importance that the other group taints by disagreeing so vehemently with them.

I'm so fucking sick of every literal frame of every new episode being spoiled on YouTube within 1 second of the episode airing. Really sucks that I can't even watch it streaming from Australia either (with that many Australian actors in the show? What a joke)
