Isn't King of the Hill closer to an unfunny family guy clone though?
KotH's humor is dry and bound in realism, rather than absurd whacky situations. Season 1 is rough, but it has a charm that the other's don't. It's not made for Texans like the guy above me states, IMO. As I enjoy it as a non Texan. Give it a re watch sometime (you can probably skip season 1, that one is a tad rough in terms of av quality).

Smiling Friends is great, because it's not edgy bullshit for the sake of being nihilistic or edgy. It's premise is to make people (the audience) smile (and by extension laugh. The most violence for the sake of violence we've seen is Mr. Frog in the Jimble episode, but his character is already established as a psycho. The Frowning Friends kind of had it coming they were antagonists after all, but even they Grim and Gnarly smiled at the end before the Renaissance men showed up. There's no poltiical leaning left or right, there's no message at the end, which even early South Park had. I'd say it's closer to the early Simpsons than anything else except without the aspect of family to it; but the Simpsons was also going for a deconstruction of the American nuclear family sitcom. Maybe Futurama?
Agreed. That's also what I love about Smiling Friends. It does its own thing without trying to be edgy for its own sake or do political/social commentary. It's a breath of fresh air when everyone is trying to make the next Family Guy or Rick and Morty clone.

Zach and Micheal having fun.

I'm honestly shocked this happened.
I mean, yay. This wouldn't be the first or second time Smiling Friends would include people from YouTube in the show, but now they added the Nostalgia Critic. That is honestly surprising.

This felt like the most adult swim episode so far. As in something that was designed to scare stoners at one in the morning. I'm suprised there was no your pretty face is going to hell joke. The last halloween episode only had like one major jumpscare.

can you faggots post links before spoiling or repeating entire gags to the point theyre not funny anymore?

Here's the mega link i'm using:

honestly not that great of an ep so far. gonna watch the last four minutes (site i was using cut off audio eight minutes in after the fake knife gag which was kinda cute)

loved the i feel fantastic reference but the doug walker cameo was a bit too on the nose. loved it as an idea and it's actually making fun of him which is based of doug but i dont think of doug as the guy who shills shaving kits for seven minutes, he's the guy who makes weird skits to shill stamps

I loved the property line dispute at the end with Satan and Mr. Boss.

Nice reference here:

Edit: I guess Zach and Michael love Halloween episodes? This wasn't as funny but it was cozy. Hope they make a Halloween episode every season.

Every episode of SF:

"I dunno I feel like this is probably the worst ep so far, really a shame they can't match the precedent set by season 1. Still love the show but wow this sucked hard."

"Wow best episode yet!"

Well, we're definitely never getting the Lightbringer on Smiling Friends now.

It's a fucking looney tunes cartoon. It's not complex.
