I think what I love the most about the last two episodes is how much of a love letter they are to the core fans without losing any integrity. I think I am still in grief mode because Fishtank ended on the same day.

The Emma reference was just kino, but the jeet reveal legit floored me. I still think Zack and Mike hated the Reddit audience (same). I think this weekend I am going to watch every episode.

If the weird crazy woman wants to pretend Alan's her boyfriend, let her, I don't get why ethics has to get brought into everything.
That’s just how everyone is these days anywhere that isn’t KF. You can’t just laugh or get amusement out of somebody else's weirdness without also virtue-signalling concern about ethics and mental health.

It’s weird looking back at stuff that was on the internet 20 years ago and seeing none of that.

Call me crazy but I think the network forced them to do that scene where Allan was licking the boss. Maybe that was part of why they quit, there might've been a demand to add a female lead and to add even more gay shit. "FROM OUR RESEARCH, YOUR FANS ARE 40% LGBTQAI, WE NEED TO PANDER TO THEM!" and they both just saw the writing on the wall and quit. It's pretty astonishing they managed 3 seasons of this without this interference.
Adult Swim have to listen to what BlackRock want though, regardless of how popular a show is. There's a whole bunch of Jews that won't have liked some of the jokes.
Nah. See Hellbenders if you haven't, random gay shit is very much something Zack finds funny (hell, we all found it funny till it stopped being a joke and it was just someone's fetish).

Despite lowkey being tipped off on the appearance, I still was somehow not expecting the twist. I practically yelped how sudden the laugh was.
I thought, "Oh, is this where final villain Mr. Landlord kills her in envy? Or maybe they end with Alan being shown as shallow after her face is ruined?" But the answer was 20x better.
Everyone needs a landlord with a tongue game like that.

I love how, for the entire series, they kept using pngs for wine bottles.

I'm glad you brought it up. I noticed people were overlooking that, and the fact that Alan's been implicitly squatting for 2 years.

I did however, spot someone else capture this key detail and put it on the wiki:

Mr. Landlord dies, comes back, runs on water, Smiling Friends will return somehow.

Also DJ Spit was missing from the finale.
That's just messed up and stuff, mane I donknow what to think and stuff.

The recent ring doorbell "Harry Dresden chud" incident gives me serious Smiling Friends vibes, especially when you have no context. I really feel like this could've been an episode.

You have a dude that looks like a stereotypical Discord/reddit mod appearing at Smiling Friends HQ and harassing them over nonsensical stuff. Starts yelling about people that aren't real. Or maybe the dude shows up at Allen's, Pim's, or Charlie's apartments.

It could have happened, but it would need to simmer in the background long enough for a when-you-least-expect-it amount ot time, like Trumpet Guy.

Doug "Daniel The Demon Slayer" Walker on the last episodes.

And slightly related, Aron Fromm, the A in Zach and Michael's ZAM Studios and animator on Smiling Friends made a short about Norm Macdonald.

how media should be enjoyed: it comes and goes and its good while it lasts. embrace change.
I wanted this shit to run forever so that they eventually entirely run out of ideas and are forced to give us an episode with Doctor Monster.

The fact the ending episodes where so great makes it all the more bittersweet. I can't think of the last time I cared this much about an on going show, from watching the pilot live to watching every single episode as soon it they came out and now it's over. I'll miss it.
