I seriously want Chris to live a healthier life. I've been around to see a few opportunities arise where he is given the opportunity to change on a silver platter. Every time he slaps the platter away and tells everyone his life is terrible. This is one of those chances for improvement.
There is absolutely nothing worth pursuing for him in the high school fantasy anymore. And he's been obsessing about that since the days of making videos. Over. Done with. Nothing. The past is a wasteland. Only in the future can he find meaning. The tragedy of Chris is that he has nature and nurture working against him. By nature, he suffers from autism (and I think low intelligence). He is prone to repetitive behavior, and may not have the cognition to understand his problems, let alone address and solve them. By nurture, he has had dependence and entitlement drilled into him since birth by Hoardzilla. Even if Chris made a realistic and concerted effort to change his life, his mother might try to sabotage it because... well, because she is completely insane.
Where would improvement begin for Chris? A clean slate, starting with an admission of faults. "I made this mistake. I made that mistake. This was entirely my fault. This was no one else's fault but my own." His ego has made him unlovable. His insistence that he is always right, and that others are always to blame for his failures is his downfall. He insists on winning every single petty battle, even if it means that he always loses the war. Humility! He needs to realize that he made mistakes, but that everyone makes mistakes and that's OK. Move forward. Move on. If he continues to insist on talking about trolls and the people he feels have victimized him, nobody is going to want to listen to him.
Self-pity, hatred of others and ego will keep him alone forever. Self-destructive habits can be difficult to break. But if he wants to make an attempt at happiness, he is going to have to make a real effort to change. I frankly do not think he will even try, but I think that he can succeed if he does try.
