Baja Blast has always been a Taco Bell exclusive in part due to Yum! Brand Inc., the company that owns Taco Bell and other fast food joints like KFC and Pizza Hut, having a close relationship with PepsiCo. PepsiCo only started to release Baja Blast outside of Taco Bell back in 2014 (with a small one-year gap in 2017 due to it losing out to Pitch Black during the brand's "DEWcision 2016" promotion) and only during the summer months. But if the rumors are true Baja Blast and its zero-sugar variant are being given a permanent retail release next summer alongside LTOs of Baja Laguna Lemonade (a mango lemonade-infused Dew) and Baha Point Break Punch (A Dew with raspberry, pineapple, and cherry flavors but is described as being a tropical punch-infused Dew).

I tried it awhile back. It’s ok but not something I’d ever buy on my own. 7-Up is still my main go-to if I want a lemon lime soda (RIP Slice though, that one was the best)
 
Why is Code Red Zero the unicorn of Mtn Dew flavors, what the fuck is with PepsiCo not widely distributing it when there's proof it exists in select areas, you can't tell me it wouldn't sell when they already have cases of Livewire and the melon one that just sit around for long periods of time not being bought.
 
Well apparently the Baja Blast stuff was part of a wider "Dew leak" that a Twitter user by the name of Team Supernova got back in September, I've compiled it here with some additional info released between then and now.
The two Baja variants I mentioned earlier in the thread, Baja Laguna Lemonade and Baja Point Break Punch, are set to release some time in 2024. If you're wondering why Baja Point Break Punch is called Baja Paradise Punch in the leak it's because the name was changed to Baja Point Break Punch due to a trademark issue.

In addition coming back this year, Game Fuel Citrus Cherry will come back in 2024. A blackberry-flavored Dew called Midnight Mission will be released alongside it, replacing this year's Mystic Punch flavor. The designs aren't final since PepsiCo hasn't decided on which games will be featured on 'em.

In addition to the previously-mentioned Baja flavors there will also be a Baja-themed Doritos flavor in 2024, it'll be fiery mango-flavored.

It appears that Pepsi is planning on competing with Coca-Cola and it's Creations line in the form of Pepsi Tempo, a lime-flavored Pepsi. It'll be released in both bottles and cans and has a full-sugar variant. As of right now the flavor's chance of is seeing a release is up in the air.

Liberty Brew will see a rerelease in 2024 alongside two new flavors, Star-Spangled and Freedom Frenzy. It's assumed that these will drop in time for the 4th of July so that means the Baja release will probably be earlier than usual.

Voo Dew is coming back in 2024 and it'll be a collab with a major candy brand just like this year's Voo Dew was.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread but Spark, Major Melon, and Thrashed Apple will be discontinued by the end of 2023...

...and MTN DEW Energy will also be discontinued by January 2024. The sad thing is that two LTO flavors, Baja Laguna Lemonade and Liberty Brew, were planned before the decision to can the line was made.

MTN DEW Real Sugar (or Mountain Dew Throwback for old folks here) is being discontinued nationally. No end date was given but it's assumed it'll be done around the same time as the rest of the flavor cuts.

MTN DEW Purple Thunder, a berry-plum flavored Dew that was previously exclusive to Circle K, and a zero-sugar version of it are being released in Kroger stores and other chains owned by the company in both bottles and cans. The flavor will also continue to be available at Circle K stores.

A new Dew flavor, Peach Madness, was planned to be released in Wawa locations in 2024 but they've been scrapped as of September 29th.

Berry Monsoon, a berry-lime flavored Dew that was exclusive to Sam's Club, has been discontinued.

MTN DEW White Out has likely been discontinued. The most recent expiration date has come and gone and bottles with newer EXP dates haven't been found.

Some flavors and variants tend to be regional and/or store exclusive, I'm still mildly pissed with PepsiCo for not doing a better job of distributing the 12-packs of this year's zero-sugar Voo Dew.

I still think that the only reason Sierra Mist even gained a lot of popularity was in the mid-2000s when Coke was screwing around with Sprite's marketing and formula.

Once Coke got Sprite under control, Sierra Mist dropped off the map. I don't even remember "Mist Twist".
 
I just took a sip of Mountain Dew Game Fuel Citrus Cherry and a wave of nostalgia (or maybe it's the HFCS) just rushed through my veins. It's similar to what I remember but it's not as sweet, that's probably due to me switching to diet sodas a couple of years ago.
 
I was at Target the other day, and for a minute, I considered the Sodastream as something I might want to purchase. Being made in Israel wasn't the problem, I just hated the idea of the flavors being so limited. Sodastream is owned by PepsiCo now, so not only does that permanently block out sodas from Coke or Keurig Dr Pepper (Despite owning Dr Pepper now courtesy of their acquisition of Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Keurig's own soda machine attempt failed before the acquisition and they're unlikely to make another), they only have Pepsi and Starry as "pre-made" flavors (both imported...and they don't have any Israeli exclusive brands), no other PepsiCo brands available on their website (no Crush, no Mountain Dew, etc.), no "soda fountain" flavors, the only flavors are cola, Dr. Generic, lemon-lime, and orange.

Geez, with so little choices, you might as well just buy cans at the store.
 
Gentlemen, I have discovered that as of the latest branding/packaging update, Pepsi Zero Sugar's caffeine levels have been lowered to normal Pepsi levels. The last remnants of Pepsi Max in the US are now gone and it's just another "phase 2" diet drink like Coke Zero with nothing special going for it.
 
I’ve got an update on MTN DEW availability, I’m starting to see regular and Zero Sugar Baja Blast returning to stores. Weirdly enough I’m still seeing Spark and Thrashed Apple as well but I think that‘s due to lingering stock.
 
Sometime in 2018 I bought a white Monster soda in a Sunoco. Not the energy drink, an actual normal 20oz soda. Then I never saw it again.

Anyone have any idea if this still exists somewhere?

See folks this is the gay agenda at work here, you drink a lotta liquid candy and you get your mortgage increased because something something insurance diabetes but you drink a lotta liquid cum and they bring out the Nawleans parade band and give you the keys to a McLaren.
 
I've tried two "craft" sodas, Moxie and Cheerwine, recently.

I like Cheerwine (it's rare to find a good cherry soda that's not a cherry-infused cola) but Moxie's bitter aftertaste is something that takes getting used to.
