Sometime in 2018 I bought a white Monster soda in a Sunoco. Not the energy drink, an actual normal 20oz soda. Then I never saw it again.

Anyone have any idea if this still exists somewhere?
Was it that monster mutant soda that they used to make? I remember there being a green and a red flavor years ago but I never remembered seeing a white one. As far as I know the mutant soda line was discontinued years ago unfortunately.

I've tried two "craft" sodas, Moxie and Cheerwine, recently.

I like Cheerwine (it's rare to find a good cherry soda that's not a cherry-infused cola) but Moxie's bitter aftertaste is something that takes getting used to.
Cheerwine's pretty good. I've also had some pretty decent black cherry sodas that are not cola based I like more, but it has a decent uniqueness to it.

Moxie's one I'm torn on tho. It's not one I'd say I like, but it's not bad either.

If you don't mind bitterness to your drink, I do recommend just drinking straight bitter lemon rather than have it as a mix for a cocktail. It's rather good by itself. Then again I tend to love citrus flavors.

i went to the local asian store for the first time in forever and saw a bunch of sodas with sailor troon characters on them
bought one and it was surprisingly good as it was just 99% carbonated water, but it really felt dirty to pick something like that up

I had the red one once, it was disgustingly sweet for what it was like they just dumped more sugar on top of the red zero mixture, never had it again or even tried the green flavor and at some point last year I discovered I kicked that empty bottle to the deepest corner under my bed so now I just have the slightly vacuum imploded bottle on top of a speaker.

Mountain Dew Purple Thunder is popping up in Kroger-owned grocery stores now, currently only the full-"sugar" version is available whilst the zero-sugar version will be a limited-edition version for some stupid reason. I bought a bottle to see how it is and it's okay, I'll miss the now-discontinued Thrashed Apple on the basis of variety but as far as taste in concerned it was definitely an acquired one.

Also on the topic of Mountain Dew, Taco Bell is introducing a Baja Blast-flavored gelato later this year after testing it out at a few locations here in SoCal. I never got to try it out due to the locations running out after a couple of days but I'll give it a shot when it comes out. Oh, There are also rumors of a Baja Bast-flavored pie being tested out too.

A new permanent raspberry-and-assorted-spices-flavored Coke, Coke Spiced, is also set to come out this month. I haven't seen it in stores yet but if it's similar to to company's British Columbia Raspberry Coke (which is sadly Canada-exclusive) then it's zero-sugar version will a nice addition to my regular rotation of sodas.

Damn. I don’t drink Mountain Dew much anymore but I liked that one. Hard to find a good apple flavored soda these days.

I still remember when it was called things like "Gushing Granny" and "Hitler Did Nothing Wrong"

Yep. It, several other flavors (Spark and Major Melon being two that I'll miss the most), and the entire Mountain Dew Energy line were discontinued earlier this year.

You might still be able to find some in store shelves but they'll have an expiration date of around June or so, I know the last time I saw Spark's Zero Sugar variant they had expiration dates that have since passed.

Unless you’re a health nut who drinks soda maybe once a year I’m afraid your tastebuds are lousy
I have a confession, I'm a sad pleb who doesn't drink as much soda as a kid, so yes I have some bad taste

I feel like flavored sparkling water, like Bubly, have really blown soda out of the water recently.

How do you feel about Manzanita Sol?

It's only gay if you call it pop and you aren't over 40.
Thank goodness I'm old enough for that. It was always "pop" or "Coke" in my family. I don't want to know what someone half my age calls it.

"pop" is a midwestern/southern thing, calling everything "coke" is a deep south thing.

normal people say "soda" or "sodie-pop" if you want to be funny
