Archive Box looks great but I find that Paperless really triggers my autismo something fierce.

I just feel my skin crawl at this. It's fundamentally wrong. I understand the software and what it offers and the advantages of it but the thing is push comes to shove paper is still a superior medium for long term storage.

Don't believe me? Go on, try and store a computer file for 30 years and open it. And I mean actually store it, not just "host" it on the "cloud" (a.k.a. someone else's computer). You can't. Diskettes can rot in a few months if badly stored and demagnetize after a while. Similar deal with CDs. SSDs have a limited number of writes for every sector before they kaput. HDDs start doing the click of death. And what about all the forgotten "storage" of the old like Zip drives and Cassettes and such? Good luck finding a way to even get them to connect.
Also regrading the environmental issues mentioned, we do have an alternative to wood based paper https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_paper
I've had notebooks that used it and they have a smooth sandstone like feel but write and are just as pliable as traditional paper. If we go to space we would probably continue to have paper this way.

This 2% "proprietary coating" is giving me douche chills.
Its likely just a trade secret. Maybe it's vital for the paper to work, maybe it just improves the appearance and quality. KFC has 11 proprietary herbs of spices, doesn't mean you can't make chicken just as good without knowing them.

Proprietary bullshit is never a replacement for universally available technology.

Mint is kind of basic. Do they still need you to do a full reinstall when a new version comes out? A Fedora based os would be better if you're regularly doing major adjustments to the servers you remote into that run a lot of custom code.

not really, they have an upgrade tool that requires you to make a backup of your current install with timeshift so that you can go back too

I was moved by the cries of my deplatformed voters like @Null, unable to follow my amazing Twitter and Instagram feeds, without an account.

So I want to share some alternative frontends, that somehow still work:

I recommend using Sotwe.com, for an almost entirely un-cucked Twitter.
Example: https://www.sotwe.com/JebBush
Limitations: Replies are shown on peoples timelines, but there's no way to see what they're replaying to, or any replies, under any Tweets.

For un-cucked Instagram access, I recommend using imgsed.com.
Example: https://imgsed.com/jebbush/
Limitations: The search feature kinda sucks and you have to make sure, the url never includes "www", in front of "imgsed".

Are you just trying to open this in the normal Brave address bar without actually clicking the purple "Tor" button in the right hand side of that bar?

if you're an android tv user like myself and likes to watch YouTube on it but hates the official app.
then i present SmartTube, the best way to watch youtube on android tv.

i don't think I've ever seen a foss project that barely has any bugs, is damn near feature complete with the official client but has features that it doesn't even have (reading comments is my fav)
with google now trying to get rid of third party clients like this, its life may soon end but give it a go before it gets nerfed.
