Doesnt take a genius to instantly recognize brave as a honeypot
Currently, Brave does have suspicions of spyware according to Spyware Watchdog, but I think you can stop this just by changing the default settings
But I've been having problems with it lately, sometimes when I'm watching a video on YouTube the browser crashes for about 20 seconds.
I thought about switching to Ungoogled Chromium, but Chrome sucks because of the lack of features that a modern browser has nowadays (adblock, tracker blocking, etc).

I say that with no evidence whatsoever.
The atmosphere around it just feels 'off' to me.
But obvisouly it not feeling right isn't much. But you probably shouldn't too much trust in it.

I've been trying out The Bat! email client for Windows, and it's fantastic.
Woah autism. The UI is definitely an acquired taste and it requires digging in a lot of big menus to do some things which are easy in Thunderbird (like threading mailing lists correctly) but I like message tabs and it seems overall pretty responsive. Too bad it doesn't appear to have Sieve support. I don't know if I'd pay money for this once the trial is up.

The extension crowdsources alternative thumbnails and titles for YouTube videos where the original title is some useless clickbait bullshit, here's some examples from the retards I'm subscribed to for some reason.

This has been out since June but hasn't been marketed well since there's only 17k users. I only realized this was a thing when I saw the option in my Piped preferences.

Well that's the beauty of it, you can customize the menus so that the thing you want is right there, and get rid of all the (many, many) stock menus full of things you don't care about.

So... yeah, autism. But I like it.

I wasn't sure where to ask this, so I hope this is appropriate. I am gonna give IPTV a shot this fall. As far as content, I am most concerned with sports and boxing/UFC PPVs. Anyone using IPTV have a service they would recommend?

It's hard to get all of the goodness from one service (low buffering, reliable guide, decent customer website), so put that out of your mind right now. My recommendation is Apollo Group. It's a bit pricey, and the guide has sucked for most of this year, but you get five connections and the buffering isn't a constant annoyance. If you pay via crypto (which you should), you also save a few bucks per payment. My cheaper alternative is Necro. The guide is great, but the streams buffer way too often for my tastes. Overall, stay away from services that have high channel counts -- look for ones that cater more towards sports. Most of the ones that brag about channel numbers are just resellers of the same IPTV service.

Regardless, I suggest doing your research, figure out what works for you, pay for one month until you find a service that fits your needs, and then pay for Tivimate to use on your Android devices. It's better than Kodi for non-PC Android devices.

I have signed up for the Apollo Group trial. I tried a trial from IPTVtune before asking here and when I tried the link in VLC it wouldn’t open. Their support recommended I try using Smarters IPTV 2.4 to open it but it wouldn’t work either. Hopefully have better luck with Apollo.

Oh, I forgot that Apollo also gives a two week (I think) free trial. Regardless, I'm happy with it. Apollo offers the best bang for your buck, and they'll hopefully get their EPG woes resolved eventually. I supplement that minor downside by following a sports schedule site (if you're US-based, Live Sports on TV is decent) to keep up with things just in case. As long as you keep it in your mind that IPTV isn't going to perfectly duplicate a legit paid service, you'll be satisfied. Also be mindful that when big sports start up (NFL, EPL, axe throwing), things might buffer a bit for the first few days of the schedule. And I will reiterate that for non-PC viewing, Tivimate is the best IPTV app out there. It costs $7 for a year (if you don't want a limited experience) and definitely worth it.

I probably sound like a shill, but I've paid a fair amount over the past year trying out services to find a good service after SmoothStreams got busted.

Apollo never did get back to me when requested a trial. I got my IPTVtune trial going on VLC and Kodi. Once I got it all configured on Kodi it seemed ok and I was impatient so I just signed up for a month. I've never really used Kodi so I will spend the month playing around with it and see where I am next month. Yeah, I'm not really looking to replace my legit service, just supplement it, and playing around with a home media set-up will be fun for a while. I mainly just want out of market games and the boxing/MMA PPVs with minimal hassle, the rest is just the novelty I guess.

Nah, I appreciate it and am gonna keep Apollo and Tivimate in mind. Cheers.

Little followup on Osmand for road navigation. The navigation for driving is good. However, there's a small quality of life improvement that can be done. Many street addresses don't appear on the map, so to remedy this you can download an additional map file from OpenSuperMap. This will fill out publicly known addresses and allow for the US address order when searching (building #, street, city, state).

Well you have to pay to use it no wonder it's not popular

Hey @It's DVS Motherfucker hows IPTVtune? Couple questions for you. How’s the service? Do you get much buffering? How is it for big sports events/stuff with huge concurrent viewers? What is the active connection limit on an account? And are you limited by device type? Looking at their store page you have to select a device type and im curious if they lock you into one or you can use it on a bunch of devices. Also how’s their EPG? Good? Shit?

Well, as a preface, I have nothing to compare it to as I haven't tried another service and I have only spent a few hours playing around with it to this point. So far the service seems fine. The only minor issue I had was forgetting at first to allow it through Windows Defender when I tried on VLC. VLC has no EPG though so I switched to Kodi and it was simple to set up. You can sign up for a 24 hour trial and I would recommend that for sure. So I did that and was satisfied enough to sign up for a month. Took about a half hour after I paid until my account status changed from trial to active. Buffering hasn't been an issue at all for me yet. I have mainly just been browsing American and UK channels so far. Once in awhile a channel won't load but either it's back-up will work or it seems to work the next time I try it. The sports stuff will be the main test for me and I will let you know Sunday with the football games.. As for the PPV stuff, I haven't tried any yet. I think the best test for me will be the Canelo fight at the end of the month. My account is only one connection. If I remember right, device tyes are not limited. I haven't tried it on anything but my media pc as of yet though. The EPG is not great but I have nothing but legit servi ce to compare it to. It's mostly fine, but there are definitely gaps here and there.

I wish I could tell you more but I have only had it a week or so and have mainly been waiting for this weekend to really see what it can offer me.

@It's DVS Motherfucker Thanks, any info is helpful as their support seems to be pajeet run.
Been playing around with a trial and I can already tell the service is no good for me, the UK channels aren’t working right, BBC 1/2 along with ITV1 aren’t having it. All this is being routed through a VPN so it isn’t my isp causing problem. If it comes to it there is a service I can get access to but it is UK channels only, I had been wanting one with decent UK support and worldwide sports.

Im open to suggestions if anyone has recommendations. I was drawn to IPTVtune by the cost, my UK service would be a similar cost /year.

What are the current best Image/Video AI Upscalers/Models? I think Cupscale is used as a GUI for model usage, but I was wondering if there are any better options available.

If you want an alternative to Brave, you can always use Kiwi Browser. Not sure how it is with privacy, but it allows extensions, so I'm sure you can fix it to your satisfaction. The built-in adblocker is better than Brave's, too.

My only real complaint is that you can't play videos in the background, but I'm sure there's an extension for that somewhere. Oh, also that there's no desktop version, so you can't sync them up.

Firefox for Android has background media playback, there's an extension that can spoof it for sites that try to prevent that https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/video-background-play-fix/
You can run uBlock Origin too.

I found Kiwi Browser's implementation of web extensions not faithful with uBlock Origin as it failed to block the Sneedchat script and websocket connection when blocking the frame the chat runs in. They might've fixed it by now as that was a while ago, but just something to keep in mind.

That site is mostly retarded.
Brave is a crypto scam nonetheless.
Brave is chromium so your last statement makes no sense.

Firefox has tracking protection and you can easily add uBlock Origin to it which also has tracking protection in addition to blocking ads.
