At first I was gonna say this is some man's domme goth gf persona and if she was a girl how can an established cracker lack the OPSEC knowledge to post a look alike online but let's be fucking honestly here, everyone makes their rpg selves look beautiful as fuck. This character shouldn't be used as a metric to determine if she's actually a woman or not because a man RPing as a woman or a woman playing as herself would both give the character conventionally attractive features and weird visual traits.

If she's a woman I don't think she had a traditional nerdy girl or schizo upbringing. I'm willing to wager that she had a normal life but then something made her housebound, chose software cracking to pass the time as she literally had nothing to do, got good, and the warez community is one of her only ways of getting human interaction outside of close family. It's like she didn't learn that announcing you're a woman on the internet brings you burdensome attention.
I had more to say but there's no point because the simplest explanation is that this is a guy pretending to be a girl and using the identity to gain social standing. Many such cases has happened before and unfortunately this is just a reality of the internet.

I've always known it as "cracktro music", from the large number of pirated Commodore 64 games that my stepdad had, when I was a child...

It was common for pirate groups to add long-ass animations onto a game disk, that you'd have to sit and watch, before you could play your ill-gotten warez.

I liked when they just threw in a demo with the crack as a separate file. A lot of these guys were really creative with demos that exploited the best your video card could do. I'm pretty sure there are legit game designers who started out with some crack team.
