  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
The front page still won't load for me or my fiancee, either through the main page link, or sonichu.com. Everything else will load though, I think.
 
Yes, the front page is not loading for me, either. It's not a big deal since the rest of the site still exists, but it's nice to have the front page to know when he updates his Facebook page.

Yeah, it's probably spambots as even before editing was shut down, they would sign up in droves and not make any edits.

I've talked to Cogs about it and she said there was an extension to mass delete users who haven't made it, but she uninstalled it so MediaWiki would be more stable. It used to be the CWCki would go down frequently and part of it was because we had so many extensions we didn't need.

Frankly I think Cogs should close registration, this is getting ridiculous.
 
It's definitely down for me (just the main page, everything else loads fine). Getting the same message as shutupman. I assumed it was intentional, to discourage the spambots from registering.
 
Main page still not working for me. I suggest that if someone wants to have a registration for the CWCki, they should post here and request for one.

Spoilered the signature. Since it's temporary, I'm changing it after a few hours.
 
If the CWCki does go down, did some people save EVERYTHING to their hard drive? (kind of like what Encyclopedia Dramatica did when they got shut down the first time)

I want to back everything up and have one full copy printed up and bound in a book, which I will bury like a time capsule. When the human race finally destroys itself, and in millions of years another planet of humanoids finds Earth and explores it, I want them to unearth this and turn straight to [cwc]tomgirl[/cwc]. Then they will know why we couldn't survive as a planet.
...excuse me I haven't been able to sleep all night and I'm a little crazy right now. :pickle:

Long time lurker, first time poster, and I have been seeing this same error for a long time now. It was a problem for a while because the Cwcki main page seems to have the only link to these forums.

I have a backup copy of the CWCki, which includes full page contents (with page history), as well as all user talk pages and images. This can be imported directly into a fresh MediaWiki install should the need arise. I don't know if this backup covers templates/layouts, but content-wise it's 100% complete.
 
By the way, Firefox/Google/whatever now lists the CWCki as being "compromised".
