Sony hate thread

What are you referring to? Nothing on PS4 screams "Zelda" to me.

Why are you randomly focusing on a later entry into GoW on PS3 when we were originally discussing the first four years of PS3?
God of War 2018 is a Zelda style game dude.

No its a Ubisoft clone
It's missing elements from it, for one thing there's no busy work and the level of collectables is only around 50 or so.

It has health and item upgrades much like zelda with new item you find in a dungeon playing a pivotal role in the boss fight. While other permanent upgrades which would be the equivalent to heart pieces or gear lay scattered throughout the overworld.

Dungeon Design mirrors what Zelda has done, everything from puzzle solving to bosses

Combat goes for a more intense in your face sword and board style fighting that Skyward sword attempted to do. That's very clearly soulsborne inspired, but it gives it it's own spin on it.

And with all that it still felt like a Ubisoft clone weird how that worked out.

Now that I think about it I wonder if the Atreus/Kratos conversations led to Micromanaging Aloy in Forbidden West.

got a launch PS4 for Christmas when I was in 7th grade. I wanted one for LBP3, then I played that game and it was a massive disappointment. I love Sumo Digital, but them mixed with a different studio’s infrastructure and Sony deadlines was not a good combination.
When I was in 7th grade, the PS3 was current, the most current Fire Emblem required a Gamecube memory card to get all of its content, Pokemon still had a national dex, and half my internet browsing was done on a Wii because the family computer was nearly 10 years old. Stop making me feel old, you little shit. Ow, my lower back.

Pretty sure Link can jump in a few of the 3D games. Kratos somehow got too geriatric to jump over a log.

The Prototype games never had that kinda shit, and they were better than any Spiderman game because you got to destroy New York.
I don't think Prototype's version of New York was as accurate, it had the landmarks but also a lot of generics because it was meant to be wrecked. Racing games do something similar where they scale large cities down to their essentials.

Spiderman they were using entire scans of the city in the name of realism. Right down to people actually being able to find their real life apartment buildings in game.

I mean at this point the Spiderman version of New York is probably superior to the real thing, since you can walk down a street without getting shot.

Are you trying to convince everyone that Spider-Man PS4 just wasn't realistic enough to include BLM propaganda, but Niggers Morales was and it's just a coincidence the game is about a nigger? Well shieeeeeet.

Previous Spiderman games were not as elaborate, they really went all out with the detail for the insomniac games right down to building placement. Even the PS3 games had limited city segments and mostly took place indoors for a large majority.
What? Spider-Man 3 and Web of Shadows fully took place in the open world. The shitty TASM games did too. Not every Spider-Man game was Shattered Dimensions or Edge of Time.

Miles Moralas was just an expansion campaign to the original.

The fact that the street wasn't strewn with them and instead only features a singular instances like that is probably a great inaccuracy. Real New York features shit like this way way more prominently all the way down to places like Port Authority.

How? In what way?
It mirrors it in level design, overall mechanics, quest structure.

The main hub world mirrors what other zelda have done before like all the versions of Hyrule Field.

The objectives in God of War are also similar, you're to trudge through a series of areas and bosses to reach the end point. The end point in this case is to just reach the top of the mountain to scatter ashes instead of rescuing someone. But that's just a surface level detail and it really could be anything. It's theming it doesn't have any real effect on how the game plays.

Throughout both God of War and Zelda, upgrades and items are strewn about the world in a similar fashion. You are to solve puzzles with items you've acquired throughout your journey to open up more places of the world to find these upgrades usually.

As far as the levels are laid out God of War still takes cues from other installments from Zelda.

Skyward Sword had the areas leading up to the main dungeon be part of the dungeon in itself. While games like OOT, MM, Twilight Princess did not have this. It was mostly corridors with puzzles to solve along the way. That's what Skyward Sword used primarily, Skyloft was the overlworld that lead to these dungeon areas through beans of light. The on foot sections of skyward sword were often designed to be singular passages leading to an open area often with a puzzle or a series of enemies and then back to singular passage. Both games had you running through a gantlet to reach the end point.

God of War may not be based on a singular version of Zelda, but it certainly takes mechanics from a bunch of them.

Combat in GOW took inspiration from the Souls series that part is true, but Zelda made it's own attempts at trying to make realistic sword combat with parries and blocks as well a few times. Again Skyward Sword tried with motion controls and prior you had Twilight Princess attempt to shoehorn that in. But Neither of them really hit the mark while GOW gave more depth to it's combat instead of just having it be mindless slashing like most other versions of Zelda had for normal encounters. It got right what other Zelda installments failed to do.

You can make that argument with any game that has a similar goal with GOW 2018. I can see why you would compare OOTs map with gows because I guess the map is similar but the level design is not. Not at all, far from it. And as far as side quests go, I can say BOTW is the only Zelda game I can think of that's similar to gow. BOTW did it better imo. And I never played Skyward sword so I'm not gonna argue with you on that. However I've played Dark souls 1,2 and 3 and Bloodborne but I don't think gows combat is similar to dark souls. R1 to attack and O to roll. C'mon dude, even Ghost of Tsushima had that same combat style. Does that mean Sucker punch was inspired by From Software? And lastly. You gotta be high on drugs to think Zelda failed on its combat calling it "mindless slashing". Zelda practically set the standard for 3D action platformers since the late 90s. They only gotten better with botw. Of course thats just my opinion.

And finally, this is third time I'm asking, what's your PSN gametag? If you aren't gonna say it or at least lie about one. Then I'm just gonna assume that Banana Split is right. And that you don't actually play video games.

all I remember about that Spiderman Faggot Miles Morales game was that it's what Sony used to preview what PS5 game cases would look like, and everything about it seemed completely soulless, which came off as a bad omen for things to come.

Introducing your new console's game cases with a capeshit movie license starring a diversity quota? That ain't good. Not to mention the very blasé banner just being the same as the PS4's (and late PS3's), only this time it's white, and the plastic case itself is just a reused PS4 case.

Nothing at all about the PS5 feels like a whole new console. What a piece of garbage.
