Sony hate thread

The stuff about the Jak revival still point to other studios handling and not naughty dog, and may or may not include the cunt Tom Holland.
Why the fuck does this British cunt need to be in a Jak revival? Also I highly doubt there is any sort of Jak anything outside of mobile as well. If Sony was serious about a revival of Jak, they would've done that already with the shitty Jak re-release on the PS4 or the actual good ports of the Jak & Daxter Trilogy on PS3. On top of it, why do speds hype up an idea that is never going to happen? Look at they did to wipeout last year, they made a mobile game with that IP! Behold, the once magnificent flagship, now reduced to a mobile heap of garbage with modern Snoy.

Actually it looks like the movie or TV show may be coming first before a game.

I mean I'm fine with these media tie-ins personally, because it worked in the 1980's and 1990's. You may wind up having something else last as long as a separate continuity like Archie Sonic.

Yeah, because I really enjoyed that Ratchet & Clank tie-in movie that took out all of the good music and worlds from the first game and made it into a soulless but competent cashgrab of a movie tie-in game.

These all seem to be made under a different direction than the attempt with Ratchet and Clank.

Uncharted the movie did not bomb, and did serve as a working example. Which was better than R&C did because that was such a loss that it took Sly Cooper down with it.

TLOU TV show really isn't showing any warning signs that it's going to deviate greatly from it's source material and it having the benefit of being a TV show means it will be closer in length to the original game.

But you also have to realize that there's a low bar currently set and if stuff like The Witcher can clear it and cause a sales resurgence for an older game. You could take something halfway decent and have it work to promote a newer game. There's also still a gaping hole on TV where Game of Thrones was and many people would like to see something fill it.

This parts actually not entirely true. Nintendo had very little interest in Rare at that point since they were having issues adapting their studio management for the new consoles. Rare was really combative and Rare really liked having a bunch of small teams all doing different projects, and that wasn't really going to work as well with new hardware and graphical standards. They were very stubborn about it too, for example Perfect Dark Zero was made by a team of like 14 people at Rare. This is also why they had alot of projects that never got off the ground from around 2001-2007. That and the Stamper Brothers leaving.

@Vyse Inglebard I think it might have been a different guy than Gamehut
No, there was, in fact an attempted bidding war, and Nintendo themselves were interested in buying Rare, they just didn't want to pay that much. Yes, there was some resentment as well from Nintendo because Rare failed to have any games available at the Gamecube's launch, and the relationship soured when Rare's biggest champions had left Nintendo, but Nintendo didn't just walk away from that investment. Emily Rodgers wrote a piece on the Gamecube, and had an entire section dedicated to touching on what went on there titled "End of A Partnership": A Dolphin's Tale: The Story of GameCube

Seriously, stop spouting bullshit.

Uncharted the movie
Which was a lesser Indiana Jones.

Firstly, not true. Cuckmann is writing it, so you just know he's gonna do Disney Star Wars-esque "revisions".
The first season will consist of ten episodes written by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann;
And even if what you said was true......just....play....the...original....game....then. Or watch a playthrough of it on YouTube, same difference.

The TV show is intended for people who watch TV so they'll buy a playstation, that's why the remaster is coming out.

I'm not really in the mood to replay it again because it may be just as minimal as Dark Souls Remastered.

I'm sorry, why would I want to have Marvel retards who only watch capeshit and regurgitate opinions that are retarded playing games that I enjoy? I recall that AMC was going to make a STALKER/Road Side Picnic TV show years ago, and for the longest time I thought it was a wasted opportunity. But now? Thank god that never happened, imagine all of the blue checkmarks complaining about STALKER and how it's 'problematic.'

Except that there's one tiny little problem with that. A problem that you oh so helpfully handed to me on a silver platter:

If the LOU TV show doesn't deviate greatly from the source material, and the length would be roughly equivalent to playing the game.......WHAT WOULD BE THE FUCKING POINT OF BUYING A PLAYSTATION TO PLAY THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE?!

Honestly that's probably the ideal situation.

Remember when movie tie-in games didn't resemble the movie at all or even follow the same plot? This would be the situation where both forms of media are very close to each other.

There would need to be no adaptation shortcuts like combining characters or heavy consolidation, it would be fairly straight forward. God of War's TV show may wind up doing something similar depending on the success of TLOU.

You didn't answer the question, dumbass. If all of what you said above is the case, then there would be absolutely no need for anybody to buy a PlayStation to play the aforementioned games, since the TV shows feature effectively the same stories, only non-interactive, so it'd be easier to binge.
Your dumb ass probably said:
BUT THE SAME THING IS TRUE OF PLAYTHROUGHS ON YOUTUBE, AND YET THE GAMES STILL SOLD
Yeah, but that was because your only options were to either play the game, or watch a playthrough on YouTube. With a virtually-identical-to the-game TV show, what would be the point of even watching a playthrough of the game on YouTube? To spot the minimal differences? I doubt most normies would actually have the time or patience for that.

You're clearly not the target audience, which is exclusively Marissa Moira. Who will buy all the merch, all the DVD's & Blu-Ray's, all the book adaptations, all of the subscriptions & all the license games that are exclusively exclusive to his preferred console. You're clearly too much of simpleton to understand Sony's strategy to become Marissa's sole feeder for their sole entertainment.

Related note: got tired of Microsoft's bullshit with their controller compability issues with Windows, so decided to pick up the Dualsense controller. Gotta say that I'm very impressed with how comfy it is to hold and how the adaptive feedback manages to work on both gamepass games and PCSX2

Honestly, I pity you for taking this long to catch up. Microsoft has had the shittest controllers since the classic Xbox. Sony controllers are always damn near perfect.

Original playstation controller: weird but serviceable. The crosspad sucked.

Dual analogs: hefty, confortable handles for people with normal to big hands. New shoulder buttons are good.

Dualshock: new convex "grippy" analogs might be better, but some people liked the original concave types. Shortened the handles so now you're fucked if you have manhands. Added a rumble feature (hence the name)

Dualshock 2: nearly identical to PSX dualshock. Pressure sensitive gimmick is used by a handful of games.

Sixaxis: horrid, terrible gimmick, shoulder triggers might be the worst in any iteration. Still too small for normal or big hands. Crosspad is still terrible. Wireless, rechargeable internal battery which will die eventually and you will have to open the thing up to replace it. The included USB cable is comically short.

Dualshock 3: not a whole lot different from DS2 save for the new wireless feature. Still features the sixaxis tilt sensor that a handful of games made use of. The included USB cable is still comically short.

Dualshock 4: shitty touchpad that takes up most of the center space. New zoomer "share button" so you can clutter the internet with your stupid worthless achievement videos. After decades, the trademark crosspad has been revised and it is just as godawful. Improved triggers from the dualshock 3 and the newer handles are better on normal to big hands. Added a tiny speaker that very few games use. Added a lightbar for some reason that again, some games use. No more pressure sensitivity. The location of the USB port at the front means that if you let it rest on top of a table or any surface, it will wear out the connector and require servicing. All of these new gimmicks drive up the cost of the controllers to unseen-before heights.

Dualsense: lol, lmao even.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I've never been a fan of PlayStation controllers. They were very small and cramped until the Dualshock 4, which was comfortable, but the battery life was terrible and you couldn't turn off the RGB light. Also, lol at the PS3 controllers having those triggers where your fingers would slip off, so all the FPSes on the console moved the fire buttons to R1.

But at least they stuck with unique button names, so you don't have to wrestle with the XYBA/YXAB problem, even if the buttons obnoxiously need emojis to be typed 🔺⭕❌🟥

Pretty sure out of the major three, Sony have the worst controllers in recent years. I would have said Nintendo since the Gamecube and 64 controller are a bit of a clusterfuck, but they got a lot more ergonomic over time from the Wii U pro controller onwards.

I'll take even the PS3 controllers, which I'll admit is the worst of the bunch, over any abomination Xbox has made. Let's not forget those stupid fucking black white buttons, or how the triggers on the 360 were angled wrong so they dug into your fingers all the fucking time.

Xbox Series X controllers are easily the best controllers on the market right now. Best D-pad I've ever used. Seriously, try one if you get the chance.

There've been a number of six-button controllers, they're popular among fans of fighting games

I've never heard that complaint before. 360's triggers were pretty good, and it was a popular controller

If I do get the chance to try one for a reasonable price, I'll give it a shot. I refuse to be the guy who hates things without giving them a fair shot.

You're going to single out those two (one of which created the modern day analog stick and the other of which was super comfy) over the dogshit Wiimote and Wii U gamepad?
