Sony hate thread

Except I don't play games in modern consoles because modern consoles after 2011 suck. :smug:

I'm just here for da games so long as I'm having fun.

Consoles will always have relevance because there's a solid chunk of the population that has ZERO desire to ever figure out how a PC works or like you said, they just want to come home after work and chill. They want to buy a new game, put it in, and then hopefully have it ready to play after they've done a few chores around the house, they don't want to sit on a computer for an hour trying to optimize performance for their rig.
This was actually a huge part of why I quit messing with my PC. Granted I plan on building a new one soon.

When I built my PC I was in college and worked a mixture of part/full time. I'd come home, get some food, and then play whatever on my PC til 3am. Get up, go to work at 11. Rinse repeat.

Once I started working 40-60 I all of a sudden, mysteriously, lost my desire to figure out just WHY cities skylines doesn't want to run this evening. Or why ATS has decided to run at 20 frames instead of 60. I just wanted to relax.

I'll always remember ending up with like a 4 day vacation due to some schedule thing, and thinking to my self "gunna make a new city in Cities skylines, 4 days of relaxing and doing nothing" and all of a sudden im 2.5 days and $60 worth of parts into figuring out why nothing will run.

I developed a real hatred of trying to "fix" games that weren't working the way I wanted. Kinda same story, around the time I was working full time I stopped giving a shit, although my last couple years of university I was doing 7:30am to 1am days studying & doing assignments very often vs 8 hours and that's it for a job.

I used to delete intro videos, make sure the running res matched my monitor res, fps gotta be high, game not supporting controller make a map for it, and more. Even then you'd run into plenty of games that just gave "press E" or "button 3" instead of you know xbox controller prompts, just completely unfixable.

I think it was Tomb Raider Anniversary of all things that really broke me. It was one of those games with the fucked up button prompts and hey guess what it also has bugs that don't exist on console. The whole reason I got into PC in a big way was because it was like a way better Xbox 360 when it was all working well so going back to that console experience and just saying "yah whatever it dipped to 27fps" was a big leap.

From the GT7 subreddit, the place that claims that the game that constantly flashes microtransactions in front of your face, based the game around selling them and even bragged about its excessive car pricing, isn't pushing microtransactions, and that no one is buying them

I knew that whales were a thing in GT7, but I never expected someone to brag about being a whale, and be proud about it.

And to think that some of those GT7 players (?) give Forza shit for selling $5-10 Car Packs, while you have whales dropping thousands on the same (?) amount of GT7 cars.
