Sony hate thread

Order was a shit movie-game
No, it wasn't and the vast majority of people who say this never played the game.

It was a throw-back to games of old that were enjoyable, replayable, one-and-done campaigns with a unique setting, defined characters and interesting storyline.

That Sony decided to kill this game immediately, due to an astroturf campaign by those in the industry wanting to kill single-player games*, only to create shittier, more boring, more fag-infested games that were walking simulators, is a goddamned tragedy.

*EA, Ubi, Take 2 and Microsoft were pushing multiplayer games harder than before during the time of The Order, with Spencer and the EA dick saying "there's no money in single-player games". Not long after that, Spiderman 1 dropped - a single-player game, and made more money than the schlock that MS and EA were puking out at the time, which led to a hilariously retarded 180 turn where both studios tried cranking out single-player campaign games.

How many hours will it take the average player to complete? At sixty dollars if its less than ten hours then the game is trash, if less than 20 it is average at best.

sony won't be able to pull a nintendo with simple bing bing wahoo. they lack the audience, IPs and developers.
The only Sony "franchises" that are still going are God of War, Grand Turismo, Horizon and TLOU remasters.

Sony actually has far more dead IP's that they're not using anymore than they do with actual IP's:
LittleBigPlanet
Resistance
Killzone
Wipeout
Twisted Metal
Parappa the Rapper (not really a "franchise" but still counts)
Patapon
MotorStorm
Jak and Daxter*
Sly Cooper
The Legend of Dragoon (this only had one game but it could really use a remake)
Medieval (can't believe they actually chose to remake a mediocre PS1 game like this instead of TLOD)
Uncharted
Gravity Rush (Sony can't even be assed with doing a PC port)
Syphon Filter
Bloodborne (for some reason Sony can't be bothered to remaster this goddamn game on PC/PS5)

*Trust me, you really don't want current year, woke-infested, Neil Cuckmann-lead Naughty Dog to remake Jak and Daxter. Let it stay in the past.

What games are you basing that claim on?

It's a cynical copy of the Gears of War format with extra Unfarted-style story thrown in.
Why is every cover based shooter now compared to Gears of War?

I paid 20 for it and it was fine. It wasn't groundbreaking but it was certainly wasn't the disaster something like the new Saints Row is. People were angry because they got hyped up for something merely average.

>WipeOut
Last time i played that series was back in the PS1 days ( WipeOut & WipeOut 3 )

Are any of the later games good? Specificaly the PS2 and PSP ones because I don't have a PS3/4

The Order is not a throwback to replayable single player games.

It's a cynical copy of the Gears of War format with extra Unfarted-style story thrown in.

How many times did you replay that?
I wish The Order was a 4-player co-op game like Gears. The setting was interesting but they made the mistake to go full "realistic" visuals, it made the game run at 24fps with the black bars.

The Order was an overpriced, glorified tech demo. Nothing more. Stop excusing shit.

I wish The Order allowed us to play as the lady.

You're the first person I've seen say nice things about The Order after it was new and the shills moved on.

Dude, I had the opportunity to buy that game on a disc for like $3 at one point and passed it up because I heard about it being a five hour movie-game. And I could be wrong, but doesn't it also end on a cliffhanger that was never resolved? Or at least it had some kind of annoying sequel hook? I never played it. I just heard awful things about it.

It ends with a gunshot fade to black, yeah.

In the words of Rich Evans, "What kind of 9th grade bullshit is this!? Gunshot fade To black!? They're not even going to resolve the other plot points!?"

I wish The Order hadn't been a colossal waste of time and resources that could've been spent on better games.
Did we get a budget $$$ total? The studio was famous for making mid-budget PSP games before famously sending all PSP dev kits back to go all in on this one game.

That studio is now owned by Facebook lol.
