Standard PlayStation 5 – 448 GB/s (14 GT/s)
PlayStation 5 Pro – 576 GB/s (18GT/s) – A 28% increase over the standard console.
CPUAlso outlined is that the PlayStation 5 Pro’s system memory is more efficient than the standard console, so the bandwidth gain may increase by over 28%.
The CPU is identical to the standard PlayStation 5, however, the Pro has a ‘High CPU Frequency Mode”, which takes the CPU to 3.85GHz – A 10% increase over the standard console.
AudioIn High CPU Frequency Mode, more power is allocated to the CPU and will downclock the GPU by around 1.5%, resulting in roughly 1% lower GPU performance.
The ACV in the PlayStation 5 Pro runs at a higher clock speed over the standard PlayStation 5, resulting in the ACM library having 35% more performance.
More convolution reverbs can be processed
GPU (Previously revealed)More FFT or IFFT can be processed
Rendering 45% faster than PS5
2-3x Ray-tracing (x4 in some cases)
33.5 Teraflops
PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling) upscaling/antialiasing solution
Support for resolutions up to 8K is planned for future SDK version
Custom machine learning architecture
In addition: 30 WGPs running specialised BVH8 traversal shaders vs 18 WGPs running BVH4 tranversal shaders on the standard PlayStation 5.AI Accelerator, supporting 300 TOPS of 8 bit computation / 67 TFLOPS of 16-bit floating point
Wait till you see the....oh-ho-ho-ho-ho, no no no no, oh ho ho, ooohhhhhhhhhhh...VR on PS5 could and should have been something special. Exclusive games on exclusive hardware will always be a draw because rarity and scarcity, as well as FOMO, are the best driver of sales behind sex.
Sony could have supported VR with enough must-have games that the price point would be moot. They didn't.
I mean for fuck sake, they didn't even launch a PSVR2 version of destiny, a game made by a studio they own.
What the fuck are they thinking?!? Destiny vr2 should have been a flagship launch title for the device.
Massive discount in 5, 4, 3...Wait till you see the....oh-ho-ho-ho-ho, no no no no, oh ho ho, ooohhhhhhhhhhh...

Don't take that as gospel just yet. The guy who posted about it is a notorious liar. Like, not just getting things wrong, but absolutely fabricated stories. He had to redact a story and then apologise for posting it because of false it was.Wait till you see the....oh-ho-ho-ho-ho, no no no no, oh ho ho, ooohhhhhhhhhhh...

They could have. It wasn't over-priced and the hardware isn't shit. Sony let it die though. But Sony was going to save VR with their overpriced shit!
This isn't Icon Era, you can't just wave away a story because Takahashi Whoever is behind it.Don't take that as gospel just yet. The guy who posted about it is a notorious liar. Imagine owning Bungie and not releasing a update for Destiny VR, even though that mode exists on a competitors platform.
Sony are fucking retarded and deserve to crash out of the market.
>implying Sony had gamesPS5 Pro is odd to me, because the original console seemed powerful enough to begin with. It's not like games are going to get much better before PS6 is out.
bunghole can't even manage the pancake version of destiny, a VR version is completely out of their league. They could have. It wasn't over-priced and the hardware isn't shit. Sony let it die though.

4k and shit. it's the norm these days for TVs.PS5 Pro is odd to me, because the original console seemed powerful enough to begin with. It's not like games are going to get much better before PS6 is out.
there are enough retards buying every new applephone, people will buy a pro, even more when they can finally get their hands on any ps5 (although the suppy of used ones would inevitably increase as well.Still seems like a niche product, if the PS5 gen was going to last 10 years like it should due to how long to it takes to make games, would be a good year 6 model, but with all signs pointing to another 7 year gen and just now starting to see this gen only games, it's just a wasted product that servers no real need for most people who console game over pc.
with consoles really small market for the tard that buy new iphone every year, and most of them who are like that are Nintendo fanboys who have to have every look of switch rather than people who want better hardware.bunghole can't even manage the pancake version of destiny, a VR version is completely out of their league.
it would also only work to a limited degree in VR before people start puking their guts out.

it's usually not an issue for tv content, at worst you waste more bandwidth for more video bandwidth, but getting that from a console is a different beast. either depend on the TVs upscaler where it possibly looks like shit, or do your own which reduces resources even more. the alternative would be simply getting a 1080p TV, but those are becoming exceedingly rare and basically non-existent for certain sizes (due to technical limitations etc.).

I did actually try the PS4 remaster and didn't get into it. I withheld from buying on PS3, then Vita, then the PS4 one dropped with... something new added, I can't remember what. Then the PC version dropped with a speedup mode, and that really put me off.No need to force yourself but if you haven't tried replaying it via the HD remasters I'd recommend that. The new soundtrack is somehow better than the original, which was already legendary. I think it's one of those games you could go back to after seeing the current state of JRPGs and find more to like.
dunno, they're sonyponies, so...with consoles really small market for the tard that buy new iphone every year, and most of them who are like that are Nintendo fanboys who have to have every look of switch rather than people who want better hardware.
Me trying not to sperg about how great that scene is

It's probably just not gonna click with you then. That's how I am with FFXII, it has a lot of fans and is the other contender for "last good FF", but I just couldn't get into it.I did actually try the PS4 remaster and didn't get into it.
It's pretty essential, especially for FFVIII. Maybe I just sucked but I relied on summons a lot, and their animations are fucking long as hell.I am never playing another old Final Fantasy game without a speedup mode.
That's true but it's not too bad, they just don't emote quite as clearly, everything else seems to look fine. I think the tradeoff for an enhanced soundtrack is alright, but there's a good case for the original being superior. The HD Remake / Remaster of FFX is a bastardized version of the game with fucked up character models. Game looks and plays great on a PS2.
Not going to sperg too hard on this but they ruined the soundtrack too. You can switch back to the original on the PS4/PC one. That's true but it's not too bad, they just don't emote quite as clearly, everything else seems to look fine. I guess it's probably because there was quite a bit of time between my playthroughs of FFX/FFX HD that I just didn't notice. Maybe that's why they're supposedly remaking it according to some rumor from last year. Not going to sperg too hard on this but they ruined the soundtrack too. It's worse than you think. There's so many little things wrong with the modern take on those games. Aside from the faces being broken and them making the whole game look like a Kingdom Hearts spinoff running in an emulator with a fanmade HD texture pack, the menus are less responsive. You might not think menus matter but it's a turn based RPG, it's like 60% menus, and it's inexcusable.
