Post-mortem explanation's probably gonna be that DDoS prevented jannies from doing anything. Maybe if we're mixing things up, it was that there weren't any jannies at all, since nudev's 20 captchas and scripts were supposed to replace all them

If I had to guess, the CP spammer is a drive-by attacker. He's attacked soygem.party, soyjak.party, and jakparty.soy so far (the frog with CP was posted on their /qa/ board). Given the messages being personalized per-thread, it's clearly not botted. I suggest noting down the hours of attack to get a possible timezone for the individual.

Not to defend the data mining, but I don't think its built to stop these kinds of attacks.
