I have realized that there are parallels between Sparta/Israel and the Shiwi.
  1. Both are insular, hostile, tight-knit, elitist communities that live in colonies between numerous outsiders whom hate and fear them in return and indifferent at best.
  2. The 'outsiders' are a bunch of disorganized, poorly-equipped, racially and socially inferior rabble. (Helots/Palestinians)
  3. Both do raids, warfare and any other hostile activity against the Outsiders day to day.
  4. Spartans even had their dark humor which is incomprehensible to the Outsiders, just like the Shiwi.
  5. Some nobles from surrounding countries are let in for their honorary status and behavior. (@Toji Suzuhara, @CallmeCicada)
