It works enough so if you get banned for accidentally saying the wrong word you have to make a ban appeal but it's just insensitive enough that the jannies can build up their CSAM stash from ban evading pedophiles. I'm a TorGOD so I don't like having to post on the clearnet in the first place (I have a gempass albeit).

I use librewolf + VPN for things that don't matter. Just Librewolf if I'm lazy. Firefox when it's completely necessary to have cookies and I'll be using personal information anyway (not regular browsing). If I want to say something that could ruin or disrupt my life if it got out into the open (e.g. racism) then I go a little further. Tor isn't hard to use and I use it nearly every day at least once. The largest issue is the increased ping and transfer speeds due to traveling over 3 different nodes. Javascript is also an oft cited issue with Tor, and it's important to mention. It would be ideal to have Javascript disabled but there are too many sites that use it these days so yeah good luck with that.

TL;DR: I don't use Tor for everything and when I do it's not much different.
