SS14 ERP server called Floofstation (associated with Delta V) had a 15 year old user on it with a role to swap IRL nudes. When told about this, instead of banning him they simply removed the role from him. Hullrot Drama channel post seems to say all that needs to be said.

Floof whitelisted another obvious child, never at any point asked his age despite him typing like a middle schooler, and then gave him a role for people to swap IRL pics. They banned him after his father had already removed him and his older brother DMed me. The kid had hundreds and hundreds of hours in floof, was active on their github, and erped with a bunch of them. They banned him post-hoc and made no changes so don't forget this is going to keep happening. And they're fine with that. Their damage control has been "our average player is so retarded we can't tell if they are a kid or not."

Wizard's den is the original and everything traces back to that.
Nyanotrasen has the next most offspring with Einstein Engines, Delta V, Frontier (kind of), Hullrot (Even more kind of)
EE itself leads to Goob and a bunch of other minor codebases. I haven't kept track of that but like all the servers they delisted last month were EE based. Even /vg/14 is supposedly going to be using EE.
The Colonial Marines one is headed by Wizard's Den Project Manager and necrozoophile Javier Guardia Fernandez. It has no downstreams (?) and I think is somewhat restricted.
Lots of codebases have weird heritage because they are based on Wizard's Den but pull very, very heavily from other codebases like EE while not setting them as their explicit upstream. Goob was kind of like this but with MRP they just went straight to EE.
Russian wise I dunno wtf is going on but there's Corvax as the main one, White Dream, and a bunch of really weird niche servers. We'd best hope for a Russian speaker if you want to know about those.

The posts are on there regardless, I've seen them with my own eyes, and so has many other people that have looked at his dumb blog where he routinely says dumb shit. You don't even have to dig that far to find the same posts, it was October of 2024. They have also come to the same conclusion that he's a groomer ageplay fetishist. EE should unambiguously go under DV. Remember they got stuck with AGPL license in the first place because the dev who may or may not have committed suicide switched DV to that license a few weeks before EE forked off.

Frontier is on there twice. I went back and checked Commit #1 there and it looks like it forked off of Nyanotrasen, considering it had the entire Nyanotrasen server directory there. If I remember it also, famously, copied basically all of Afterlight 2079 / Outer Rim or whatever the fuck it was called, the one operated by Moony / Braden Nelson. Moony famously used their project manager powers to ban Checkraze from the main SS14 discord as revenge for "stealing" Afterlight and Outer Rim stuff. Check claimed to have invented Afterlight or something but had just 5 yaml PRs. I will have to look into this. I would portray Frontier as Afterlight + Nyanotrasen for both parents since, well, it started with just all of those server's content laid upon Wizden.


Hullrot (in)famously is forked off of Frontier which has led to a lot of spergouts. Hullrot forked off of Frontier when it was still MIT and Frontier devs incorrectly try to insist AGPL is retroactive.

It cannot be understated how bad Lion's code was. He is often misattributed the famous "prob(80)" incident, which is understandable if you understand how much of a mouthbreather he was. For those unaware, "prob(80)" is an ss13 meme where someone "fixed" air pipe performance by giving it an 80% chance to just not fire. As far as I am aware this did come from SCP13, just not Lion himself.

I wish I would have tried more alternate codebases when I played. Some of them sound pretty cool.

I remember joining some Fallout 13 server (maybe an early Desert Rose, but there have been literally so fucking many I genuinely can't be sure). I walked to the nearest buildings and found 4-5 people all grouped up in a small shack and nobody was talking when I came in. So I kinda just sat and looked at them to see what they would do. Eventually one of asked me to leave and when I asked why they threatened me, I can't remember if they said they were going to ahelp or just kill me. At the time I was too unaware of the ways of SS13 to know what they were probably doing until much later. After that I didn't play anything other than baseline SS13 except for trying tgmc once after a couple beers. I was traumatized into thinking anything other than vanilla SS13 is going to have ERP in it. (An assumption that is still mostly correct)
