I guess the worthless retards in Hollywood haven't learned their lesson from The Boys. There's no way in hell this shit will even be slightly watchable.

Don't get me wrong, the comics are utter dogshit and just about the worst work Ennis has ever done. But this will be an absolute disaster in a completely different way. No way in hell the edgier shit makes it past the ratings board.

If H-wood wants to adapt any Ennis work, can't they just adapt Adventures in the Rifle Brigade? THAT, I'd watch.

Vast majority of Ennis's works aren't adaptable, vast majority of comics aren't adaptable cause they're serialised and way too complex. I don't get how they don't understand this. Crossed and preacher cannot be movies. Adventures in the rifle brigade and Bloody Mary can be, bloody Mary especially can be akin to 90s shlock like blade or resident evil or end of days. There's also a rogue trooper adaptation in the works by Duncan jones. These cannot be movies, they just cannot. Producers and execs are so fucking retarded.

Garth going all in with continuing his sell-out tour. Was Crossed ever being popular? "Utter dogshit" doesn't even begin to describe how bad Crossed is, no matter who was writing it. Notable mention to Moore's stint on Crossed +100 and his lame attempt at creating something akin to Nadsat from "A Clockwork Orange" in his dialogue. Which fell completely flat.

Hope Ennis has at least some decency left and won't let Hollywood get their greasy mitts on Hitman.

Absolutely. It just added nothing.

We had a conversation about Moore's pedo tendencies ITT topic a while ago and while writing my previous post i remembered that Moore snuck that shit in Crossed +100, too. There's a scene where one of the underage female protagonists asks one of the older members of their community, who was born when normal society was still somewhat intact, to have sex with her and not understanding why he denies her request. What i take from that is that in Moore's moral-free and lawless post-apocalyptic dystopia people would take kid fucking back up again and see nothing wrong with that. Sure gave my noggin a joggin'.

The Kite-Man show DC is going (yes its an actual show and is airing now) has a lot of Hitman characters in it

I feel like half the fun of Batman is that some of the villains can be sort of allies. Like Penguin at times is basically reformed into hosting a nightclub that’s ultimately on the grey side of morality. He’ll sometimes be an informant for Batman because it’s in his benefit to stop the Jokers terrorist attacks.

Like some niggas like Scarecrow and Joker will never not be fucking assholes, but some of them can. I feel like the Tim Burton Batman attracted the weird goth kids who wanted Batman to always whine about his dead parents rather than a mostly over it billionaire deciding to beat up psychotic freaks because writing a check doesn’t cut it.

I like Spider-Man, but Spider-Man when he’s juggling his life and not about to have a mental breakdown. When he’s mildly annoyed that he has to do the right thing and beats up some faggot Australian.

I think my issue is that a lot of people that shouldn't be into this hobby are in it for clout and then those weird kids grow up to be the Mariko Tamakis of the world.

I think most of the Batman and Superman villains are golden age remnants ie shit came up on a whim. The ones who've survived the longest are generally representative of a character archetype or pathology that way they can be interesting and multifaceted without being caricature. It's one of the reasons why the regular Arkham rogues gallery is that good. They each are a pathology for which Batman is the cure and sometimes they play against each other.

Suggesting that Doom should be Romani in this new interpretation would be one thing, but stating that it's racist for him to not be Romani is dumb. He was never Romani, he was a generic Eastern European dictator. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were gypsies because they're supposed to be weird and foreign and untrustworthy with strange customs and mystic powers.
