I've been trying the Snipe-writer and it's been pretty rough. The range is really good, but the two shots are hard to hit unless the enemy is sitting still. Plus it's kit is very support centered. I think most of my problems stem from maining gootuber which is like the opposite of snipe-writer. I still don't see why I can't hold my charges while swimming.

Tried this out yesterday. The results it gave me were accurate but they were oh so soul crushing, at least next season I'll know if I should even bother with the machine after only around 5-7 rolls instead of having hope every time I do my 5000 gold daily.

I hope your results are better than mine.
After my past 2 daily rolls, I can confirm that the Shell Out seed does not reset each season, which I had previously assumed it would. So if you've got a shitty seed, then we just gotta live with it. Maybe your Splatfest seed is better.

Tried the new salmon run stage and it's really fun, might be my favorite stage so far. Also got my Grizzco starwars helmet and I love it.

this map was good in 2 but it is fucking CRAMPED on coho. best part about it now is that we have egg throw.
also the grizzco splatana is fucking abysmal for range and is only helpful in a very small handful of situations. it is absolutely useless during mothership.

It's pretty good if you actually get up close though, it can even one-shot fly fish and steelheads through their armor.

yeah that's why i said a very small handful of situations. most of the time you're fucked

Big Run is really fun so far. Wahoo World is actually a really cool salmon run stage, I like how it has multiple spawn points. Also I got 128 golden eggs on my first shift so I think I'm gonna get the gold trophy lol.

Damn, I probably could've gotten gold if I had more time to play. It was still pretty fun though and I'll try to get gold on the next one.

Being 1 point below the top 20% is a little malding. I wonder if scoring higher would've been easier if I played below the highest difficulty. It also kind of sucks that the score is heavily tied to weapon rng. It was a nice event nonetheless.

I only got 66 eggs as my best due to rng fucking me over and giving my team matches where we all were given slow ass weak piddly shit weapons while the hordes were swarming us. 4 slow ass rollers aren't gonna do shit against speeding boss salmonids zipping around like cocaine addicts.

Yeah I hope they try a fixed weapon rotation for the next one. Random rotation can be fun sometimes, but it's really annoying when you're going for a high score.

I forgot to mention the matches I was locked in were all ones where the boss salmonid spawning rng kept fucking spawning the bosses that you have to stop everything your doing and hit a small part in a very specific small time window at a very specific angle before they become immune to all attacks the next 20 seconds. The blaster exploit seems to no longer work, at least it didn't when me and my rando my teammates tried it. Fuck flyfish, and fuck steelheads and drizzlers even though they're a lot less of a pain in the ass to deal with due to their invulnerability times. REALLY fuck the change they made where the egg stealers fly now I didn't really realize how much of a shitty addition that was till the fucking big run matches. Before they used to spawn only when you left the eggs down for a while and could only steal 2 at a time, but now in splatoon 3 they start fucking rapidly zipping in the second the things hit the ground now and have no limit to the amount they can pile up. They're manageable, though it sucks having to fucking keep stopping your gameplay just to go after one of those fuckers before it immediately flies off with the eggs cause you were too busy fending off 5 steelheads and flyfish that randomly spawned in. Rinse and repeat and you get caught in a loop where everyone is constantly struggling to even get the fucking eggs to the god damn basket and 20 to 30 eggs are just lying around waiting to get picked up.

The flying snatchers can be really useful though. If they spawn in a good spot you can use them to grab a ton of eggs from far away and have them carried to the basket. It's way safer than leaving them on the shore.

Usually they never head towards the basket, they just grab the eggs and fly directly upwards whenever I encounter them. They aren't even "left on the shore" in terms of the big run it was just high tide on that one corner of the map while a shitload of bosses are spawning in at once on top of the flyfish and steelheads you have to wait for the vulnerability window on. If I ever catch one of those flying egg their bastards behaving like you described then it's absolutely something that'd be useful.

Oh yeah I forgot Wahoo World doesn't really have a shore, so they're definitely more useful on the regular maps.

There's also the fact that there are many players who don't even help with taking these eggs to the basket to do it faster and then another snatcher flies in while you're trying to put them in the basket yourself (:_(

During big run I got on a lot of teams that despite all being randos got a good rhythm in on popping the fucking eggs in the baskets. The only reason the high score was 66 was because we kept getting wiped last second first or second round or getting rng-fucked in general. I don't know if that lucks gonna keep holding out now that it's back to normal salmon run but I guess I'll find out when I get back to playing at whatever point I do.
