I love this game, but good god the "fandom" produces mega-cringe at a steady enough rate that searching anything Splatoon related will almost instantly lead to bad shit.
The single player campaign is a great family-friendly post apocalyptic race war simulator.
Multiplayer is fun, but there's an abundance of lag-switchers and people who use cheats to get ridiculous buffs that guarantee an instant win. Then again that makes it a lot more satisfying when you manage to still win when the other team has those guys on it, as rare as it is.
I found out you can hop to any player at any time as long as your alive and I now occasionally mess with the enemy team by leading them to an area where I'd be cornered and swoocing on out of there via gravity defying gamepad leaps.
