In the case of BFBBR they remade a game while fucking up things about it somehow like putting collisions on objects that weren't supposed to have any for example and again the extra additions they did make were so shitty that the game would have been better without them in the first place.

He was talking about how the shittiness of the remaster was due to factors out of the dev team's control like Covid and Nickelodeon's Deadlines.

Also he meant the movie itself, not the video game adaptation.

In the case of the Movie Game, I like things about it but it really flops when compared to BFBB, especially with how the enemies are reskinned over and over and the mission structuring it has is ass which that along makes it sadly inferior.

BFBBR was the one. It was supposed to release alongside the third SpongeBob film that came out in 2020. The team for BFBBR had months to develop the game, which wasn’t a good amount of time to begin with, but then they also lost a month needing to relocate during Covid. They wanted more time to finish the game, but Nick was dead set on the deadline as it had to release with the film. This was rather pointless however as the film was pushed back due to Covid, yet Nick still wouldn’t budge on the release.
