You know the amount of girls who play games in their formative years never budged from the 1970's so they decided to fudge the numbers and have the term gamer be given to those who were 3 miles within a single arcade machine in order to prop the number up or have mobile games count despite mobile games being fucking trash.
And it still doesn't match the number of males who's audience numbers grew with each console generation. They had to cripple the number by not counting male mobile gamers and by adding a time restriction per week to PC and console games. if a guy didn't play 10 hours a week he wasn't a gamer because of how they calculated the mean median and mode, but if a girl just simply thought about a game she counted.
