lol at the comments blaming it's failure on "muh (((woke)))" and not it literally being unplayable for huge chunks of it's incredibly brief life.

edit; it does indeed seem to be more a case of the game just outright not working properly and less a case of brave gamers rising up against sandniggers in their games.

To be fair, I feel like if they didn't waste so much effort on Kamala and the "marketing" for that - I honestly don't recall any marketing for this game, like announcing Kamala was supposed to be enough or something - they could have focused on the actual game without like "we got a darkie, they'll buy that right?" attitude.

I dunno, I feel like whenever a company does that with a game it's because it has no fucking backbone and they know it. So instead of fixing that, they just get comfortable with a cheap gimmick. Very similar to "sexy for no reason" we had for a bit. Only now it's stinky curry smelling people that won't stop their needless exposition.

Even when the game fails and there are many factors to it, someone still has to bitch about people who dislike the choice to have Kamala Khan as the main protagonist.

Even when that MIGHT have been a factor to the game's failure, even if it is admittedly silly to blame the entire failure on her.

Kamala sucked, but I probably would have still bought the game had the beta actually been fun.

Kamala sucking was basically me going "Well I'm going to hate the single player, I know I'm going to hate the games as a service bullshit. Might as well skip it."

Now if it goes cheap, I'll say "nobody even plays this fucking game, might as well keep skipping it."

That being said, I hope all the Marvel simps who ignored everyone saying this game was shit feel really smart when it goes free to play in a couple months.

Kate Bishop is being delayed officially. Listed reason is quality control on the main game. Playerbase continues to plummet despite selling more than Marvels Spider-Man. (Probably cause multi platform of course)

I dont see Kate Bishop and Hawkeye being what brings people back or fix any issues.

After the way Deus Ex got put on ice for this game and Spider-Man became a PS exclusive character, good.

Deus Ex should've had something for it's 20th birthday, and holding Spider-Man hostage is bullshit.

Sony has the movie rights to spider-man, but the rest is in Disney/Marvel's hands. I think it's exclusive because Squeenix doesn't want to sour their relationship with Phony.

No the deal was reworked when Spiderman temporarily left the MCU for like a week and Disney tried to get journalists to throw a shitfit.

Basically now Sony gets a cut from everything Spiderman related. He is their Pokemon. It's entirely why they bought Insomniac.

The whole thing was Disney was going to pay them to use spiderman originally, that turned out it worked for awhile. But Sony could still legally make their own Spiderman movies. When Into the Spiderverse and Venom made as much money as a typical MCU movie they wanted a larger cut of everything because there was really no reason to keep Disney around siphoning off merch sales. Disney at first said no, but then said yes because Spiderman would have been a competitor to their golden goose and would have also been inadvertently simultaneously promoted with each marvel product Disney would push, because Spiderman is a huge franchise that will always be associated with marvel.

Kamala might be a side effect of why this game turned out shit in the first place though and that's diversity hiring is sucking the talent out of game development, when you hire not based on actual talent but skin color and gender it's no surprise you get a worse product.

I mean how bad do things have to be to fuck up what should have been as much a sure thing as a fucking AVENGERS video game?

That and everything relating to Jersey City has always been trash.

You don't even pick the good part of Jersey that's close to NYC where they have nice suburbs(and it would have made sense from a logistical point in the Marvelverse). But Fucking Jersey City itself. You can tell it was written by someone who's never lived in jersey.

Especially since one proven place where it's been shown that a ton of superheroes actually fly over or intersect is Hoboken.
