This childish, petty retardation is just so over-the-top I was genuinely tempted to write an obfuscator specifically for his mod when I first heard these shitheads were doing that just to piss them off. This much vitriol being spewed about him to this day by a discord white knight has renewed my interest again in doing this.

The offended mods detect wrongthink by looking for unique IDs in various places in the mod that hurts their feelings. Whole game's done up in Java, so it's not too hard to just inject something that randomizes the UIDs (while updating all references to them) in user-specified mods at startup. The game engine doesn't care, the fragile mods won't find the branded entities they're afraid of and their woke authors won't be able to just update the IDs that terrify them since they're randomized every time the game launches.

When I'm playing a game and setting up mods, I don't care what your opinion on other mod authors is; I care about whether your mod is interesting, worth using, and doesn't fuck up my game. It's one thing for mods to be naturally mutually-exclusive or incompatible because they both make fundamental changes to the same things, but it's quite another for a mod to just crash the game on purpose because its author hates another modder and his mods. Keep that drama shit to yourselves. I just want to play games.

Actually it's just a single mod, Dessault-Mikoyan Engineering, that refuses to work with NGO. Mostly because the author is French and his family fought in WWII, so he feels pretty strongly about the whole thing. As far as I know every other mod works with NGO just fine, and I know because I did a supermod playthrough recently, and DM was the only one to throw up a compatibility error. But I got rid of NGO anyway because, as mentioned previously, it's coded like shit on a crusted roll.

Edit: Also, it doesn't crash the game. All that happens if you try to enable a modlist that has both active is that it pops up a message saying 'hey, use either this or NGO, not both' and then deactivates itself from said modlist.

This channel has copies of all of the Dlive streams. I can't tell just by their titles if a neuroscience discussion is there, but you might be able to find it buried in one of the videos.
