Yeah, but that's because he told a complete narrative of his gameplay experience a-la Sseth's SS13 and DF videos, where Sseth just went over the game essentials in his typical style. Rimmy's SoD video was also funnier for the same reason, but Sseth's video is still funny.

Sseth is a tourist. He reads up on quirks and memes to sprinkle in throughout his video. The way he put funnyjunk into his newest video sent the folk on that site into a craze. It really just is low-brow pandering and it works. Whoda funk formulaic content is gonna get stale? B-but based Sseth! Hey hey people! Commission porn! Plagiarizing? Uhh who cares chud!

That's the main reason why I like him, though I've played some of the games he's recommended and I really like them so he's a better reviewer for me than most "official" game reviewers.

I feel like he's more genuine as a gamer than any other youtuber because of his dlive streams. They're janky as shit, they're unorganized (except his cancer lecture stream), but when he's playing those old ass games (and occasional furry porn arcade), you can see his love for them, the nostalgia, the decades old tricks and exploits he uses, his narration is full of emotions and he focuses on the game, while the usual gaming streamer is more focused on talking to chat in the most deadpan voice possible, or chimping out to pander to zoomers and gen alpha.

I am somewhat in the same boat as @⋖ cørdion ⋗ I think Ssseth has lost the magic...

But before I do my speel I'm a bit late to the Reggie party, Youtube just recommeded this video to me -

He is doing the same voice as Ssseth, the same jokes, same punchlines told in the same manner, same editing, some dark sexual irony, I have never in my life seen a rip off like this. The guy saw Ssseth, and then saw SpiffingBrit, and wondered what would happen if he mixed the two together. You have others like UberDanger that use the same kind of style but he made it his own. You could have someone listen to an audio clip of Reggie and convince them that it's Ssseth easily.

Anyway Ssseth is a Jew🇮🇱. He used to be entertaining in the early days when he was willing to go the whole way and compare the dark elves to the Jews and other jokes that were refreshingly different in this politically correct hellscape we are in. It felt a lot more guerilla and a lot more genuine even down to the 00s editing. Also myself and I think the internet in general were a lot more naive when it came to the "i'm only into big hentai elephant dicks ironicly bro it's a joke" schtick, where as now we all are a lot more conservative and cautious when it comes to things like that.

After a while as he continued to grow in popularity I noticed his videos weren't the same anymore. His jokes were safer. His style felt more forced, as if he was trying to emulate his original videos (which is something I have noticed with a lot of Youtubers now like Ross and Civvie, they seem to quickly forget how to be the thing that made them popular in the first place). It's clear that a lot of reviews are paid sponserships and he is clearly not interested in the games half the time.

I must admit I've not seen his videos in probably a couple years now so maybe they are better but I doubt they will ever top those early videos. People burn out fast these days. Would you say that he has returned to form? Has he done any other streams similar to the cancer one?

The issue - to me - is that there are more jokes and memes than actual content about the game he's reviewing.

Just about every midly edgy youtuber does Jew jokes today, they are just wise enough to only implicate the joke rather than call it. It's as edgy as leftists talking about smoking pot 20 years ago.

Seth hit the usual issue of running out of interesting games from his childhood to talk about and now focuses on whatever interesting indie shit he last played, which doesn't have the depth of games like M&M. Also his drug use doesn't help.
