Stable Diffusion, NovelAI, Machine Learning Art - AI art generation discussion and image dump

Who said anything about more? What I hope is that it'll one day be a replacement.
Porn doesn't need to be replaced. It needs to be shamed back into the shadows of polite society so there's some kind of counter balance against the instant gratification button. Quit feeding the addiction. Porn tears women apart physically and emotionally, but it also tears men apart mentally. There is no wide-scale upside to porn regardless of how ethically it's produced.

It wasn't porn consumers who dragged pornography out into the mainstream It was shrinks and academic hacks. Even now its much likelier to see a proud onlyfans whore than it is to find a man who wears his porn preferences on his sleeve. We don't discuss or share porn using our irl names, pictures or social media accounts. Thots on the hand are the ones normalizing it.
TBH I never understood why no one talks about the twitch to OF pipeline.

We point fingers over who's to blame or we can actually do what's within our power to roll back the damage unlimited porn has and will cause. Quit consuming porn and contributing to that market so these leeches stop making money, tell anyone who asks that porn is gross regardless of how it's made, and carefully teach your kids what a healthy relationship is and how to strive for it.

And to make sure this is actually on topic, giving boys access to unlimited AI porn right as they reach puberty will collapse civilization. Don't give your kids smart phones.

How would a 1080 Ti fare for SD? I'm interested in that specific card due to the budget friendly price, 11 GB of VRAM, and what appears to be relatively good Linux support.
Just fine. At 512 square I get 1 to 2 iterations a second. Make sure to install xformers.

When training a loRA for Stable Diffusion 1.5 what loss should I be looking at for optimal results? I am training one at 10 epochs, 2400 steps and the loss doesn't want to go below 0.08. Or should I be looking at a different metric all together?

Adobe is now Suggesting to Outlaw Copying an Artist's Style

The twitter poster goes more detail about this situation, so it's advised you click the link to learn more about this. I only screenshotted the first post.

Just like what the Twitter post said, Adobe is now suggesting to outlaw copying an artist's style. I do emphasize on the word suggesting, it's not a written law yet. This is obviously due to the AI shit going on. Thoughts? In my opinion, this is only going to shoot artists in the foot. There's nothing original about art anymore, just like music. There's only so many ways you can draw that you're bound to copy someone's art style, it's inevitable. It also doesn't help that a lot of artists get inspired by another artist and attempt to draw just like them. It doesn't help that their surveillance tool breaches anonymity. The best way to solve this is for artist to embrace AI because AI isn't going away anytime soon.

I knew this day was coming, it was just a matter of when. Hopefully, artists see through this. Companies aren't doing this to help them, it's for their own benefit. This will only make their situation even worse because it's only those who have money that benefit from copyright.

It sounds like something that could end up in front of SCOTUS. And my understanding is that the law surrounding music style infringement is weird and hacky, and probably should be thrown in the bin too.

I said something similar in the articles thread but I’ll say it again here. What they’re proposing would have essentially made all of art history illegal. Artists copying and combining other artists styles is literally the point of art. We live in a society with culture and culture borrows, appropriates, steals, creates homage to all other culture. It would be a damaging blow to human culture itself if taking inspiration from someone was made illegal.

Similar things going down with chatGPT with writers suing them for it being able to generate text that is similar to authors because it has them in its database. Copyright ghouls basically want to outlaw all new work or derivative work outside of what they control. If they had their way, humanity would never develop culturally. No new Art (he copied Jackson Pollok's style sue him), No new books (he copied Steven Kings style, sue him), No new music (he copied Elvis's style, sue him). None of them developed in a vacuum.

Copyright is rent seeking to the extreme.

No Elvis music because he appropriated African-American culture! (Never mind that in actuality he popularized it to the extent the musicians he "ripped off" were largely more successful after people went looking for his influences because they wanted more shit like what Elvis did and guess what, much of it was by black people.)

This is supposed to be a 'sappling growing out of earth' I think mine's retarded
