Not even AI is safe from American tyranny DEMOCRACY. What good is that going to do? Why not regulate computers because they can be used to type editorials?

I'm sure somebody can do a better job than I had.

Here is a link to his executive order.

They have been planning this in the works for the past 10 years at least as there are articles to make AI "anti racist" as far as 2013.

It seems that since a lot of these companies like Microsoft get federal subsidies, that is how they will control AI.

Might be a nothingburger, because most of what the government seems to be wanting here is an inability to make WMDs, and it requires you to say "I asked it to design a working nuke in OpenSCAD and it completely fucked up," if your AI was even smart enough to have a possibility of doing that. Also internal government regulations for AI, because of course. It seems to be in the specifics of the wording for how this will work. They aren't outright banning them, in any case.

Also, aren't executive orders not real laws anyway? It could just be dunked in the trash instantly by the next guys who make one.

Well it has an effect for now if they have the bureaucracy on their side.

And if Biden does not get knocked out of the white house or it will be forgotten by 2028 or codified into law by then.

And the Republicans have be shown to have not much of a vision on AI compared to the Democrats.

Even if the Democrats vision sucks.

This is what happens when your AI isn't local, people. It's running on somebody else's computer and they can neuter the fuck out of it by removing whatever the fuck "boosts" are and fuck you in any way they want.
I think once the software stabilizes a bit the Intel A770 16GB may be a good option for home use. We'll see how the pricing and performance shakes out with the 'big 3'.

Also, hopefully the models can be made smaller and lighter, which will enable easier home use (ML on your phone!) and hopefully personal training (Random faggots making their own ML systems! YAY!) which will make corpogov control harder. There is currently a fuckload of ongoing R&D relating to this, and eventually the software will mature too with extremely autistic optimization for the common models. It's already happening as we speak.

The government can't take away my ability to create abominations in SD.

For some reason prompting aliens in the absolute reality model always gives me HR Geigere texture aliens. It's very cool though.

Ann Blyth illustrated with pencil next to a thick letter "C." background is a yellow notepad. C is written with pen

Let's just take a moment to appreciate how the AI recognized each detail I added.
