Like I said before, I only skimmed the latest episode of picard for Q.

In hindsight this explains why they were in such a hurry to get rid of all their OCs like Data's Mary sue daughter, murderer scientist Karen, or discount latino Han Solo.

They finally got the memo nobody liked them, and people just wanted the TNG cast back. Apparently just wanting more TNG episodes,or at least treat the TNG cast respectufulky, is asking too much as if we were beggars, and not literally the source of their success and money.

Those are not good news.

Given this show is still written by hacks and political activists, do expect them to ruin them just like they did with Picard himself. Maybe even out spite because everyone hated their OCs.

I wasn't that much into TNG as other people I know, and I am already too jaded to care, but I already feel bad for anyone that is.

Any bets on what the big bad alien threat is going to be for season 3? We've crossed out the Borg, androids/romulans, and cardassia was brought to its knees in ds9 so they can't really be a threat here. My guess is they're going to do some shitty tie in with section 31 and starfleet, like some "starfleet were the bad guys all along" trope. It would be interesting to see the dominion again but I'm not sure the TNG cast is supposed to interact with the dominion. Who knows though, since they're changing everyone's personalities it could happen. Given the track record for Picard I'd say its unlikely it will be a totally original story.
Oh also, place your bets on just how Brent spiner will show up this season. Progeny of data? Long lost great great grandson? The return of Lore?

I wouldn't rule out them bringing back some new gayer version of the borg just yet, place your bets now on what stupid shape their ships will be.

One of the main reasons stewart even did the picard series was for the sake of doing the finale that tng never really got and putting it to rest for good
I doubt this is a real reason tho, Patrick Stewart seems unlikely to give much of a fuck about Star Track. It sounds like the kind of insincere bullshit actors say when they're promoting a show.
Thats sad and a waste of what was once a decent pair of tits in the 80s and 90s. Jeri ryan isn't too far behind in that department either, shes not exactly aging all that well recently
Gene Roddenberry did nothing wrong.

They have to travel back in time to stop fat Guinan from saying stupid shit on TV.

Picard is just a platform for Stewart's old man dementia moralizing. He doesn't give a fuck about the character or franchise. If anything, he resents it because he was a stage actor.

The Enterprise crew are recruited to track down a rogue starfleet vessel with experimental time travelling capabilities after it has caused several temporal infractions. That ships name? the USS Discovery...

Nothing stopped him from going back to the stage. He only was part of it seven years and some months for the movies. He's not like Markiska Harkitay who's been committed to Law and Order for 23 years and counting. Between Nemesis and today, he's had plenty of time to do as many theatre roles as he pleased. If he then committed to be Xavier, that's not Star Trek's fault. With all that money he made from the X-Men movies, he could have built his own theatre and started his own productions.

Also, Picard wasn't like Kirk who was a bit of a histrionic character. He had also many opportunities to show his acting skills and even doing some Shakespeare. I could get it if Picard had ruined his career like some roles ruined so many actor's careers, but Picard wasn't that case. He's got a very prolific and diverse career after TNG.

Did the, the producers, asked her to maintain that weight to virtue signal about body posivity?

That's the only reasonable explanation for her not to take care of her weight.

If not, she is comittimg carrer suicide. Not to mention she's being incredibly dumb. As bad as Discovery is she should be using it to promote herself by looking her best to get better roles. It's possible. Pike's actor even got his own spin off despite being a straight white male that they hate so much.

And if she thinks that's bigotted, that wouid be like complaining being a cop is dangerous. Looking your best in Hollywood IS part of the job.

That was the original intent for discovery, iirc, or something similar. Each season would have been a different era aboard the same ship.
Too much work.

Five seasons was a done deal from the beginning. Ratings and popularity don't seem to matter to a studio which is selling its own limbs to make it in the streaming game.
