so how is the new show with cap kike?
More good than bad, so far. 3 good episodes to 1 bad, in my opinion. The worst parts so far have been occasional STD references and an intense desire to stuff Ortegas into a high school locker every time that goblinoid shows up on the screen and opens its mouth.

At last! The card game references kurtzman.

Turnabout Intruder?

Turnabout Intruder is based

Years ago there was a rumor flying around more critical trek circles that Rottenberry selected that as the last episode to try and either sour the studio on releasing the show on syndication (ironically what saved Trek in the end) and or to try and drum up attention from the Feminist movement and getting another season to fix the "mistake" Rottenberry was aware of the cancellation as where most of the producers but the Cast and Crew where not, it was also changed in the broadcast schedule for the previous episode "All of our yesterdays" adding more credence to this theory.

I don't know if I buy it but given how much of a spiteful and scheming cunt Rottenberry was I can see either being plausible but unlikely, the premise of the episode "A Woman can't be a starfleet officer let alone a captain" was absurd even in the shows history and lore at the time let alone that episode.

so how is the new show with cap kike?
Legitimately good and sometimes great so far. Maybe it's because my expectations were extremely negative but it's refreshing as hell.
People have nutrek trauma so it's still getting shit on, but the bad stuff is minor (a single shitty character who already seems to be improving, one or three awkward line reads per episode) or typical stuff people pretend doesn't apply to classic trek like dumb technobabble. The good stuff is a massive improvement in trekness and I'd go so far as to say some of it has fucking rocked.

Objectively it's off to a strong start compared to previous shows finding their feet. I dunno how it could realistically be better as a current year trek without yet another timeline reboot, and we ain't getting that.

Am I the only one who thinks the new nurse Chapple is fucking gorgeous? She is honestly some of the best eye candy I've see on TV in years.
She looks like one of those dime a dozen instagram bitches that don't wash their pussy. Don't fall for it bro, you'll never get the taste out of your mouth.

But the main thing that bugs me is she's impossible to rectify with the original character. It's glaring when Spock is doing probably the best Nimoy impression we've seen, meanwhile no way is Chapel the same dude. I thought maybe she'd turn out to be her sister or something but last episode (?) confirmed they have the same first name, so I guess it'll have to be a gene splicing accident or whatever that fixes her hairstyle.

Yes, and her voice is nearly as annoying as the English bitch who refuses sedatives cause 'rape'. STD and picard must have traumatised you guys cause SNW is still a heap of shit with bulldikes, trannies, niggers and woke shit left right and centre. Oh and shit acting.

She looks like she earns a ton of gold-pressed latinum with her OnlyFans.

Yeah, I don't like her behavior. Nurse Chapel wasn't a whore, she never talked about having different boyfriends on every planet. That dialogue between her and the dyke helmsman was painful to watch.

Which is more legit sexist, Spock's Brain or Turnabout Intruder? The bimbos with shock collars need a man's brain to fix their crumbling society because they can't figure it out themselves.
Nimoy confirmed in his book that Turnabout Intruder was an episode that literally hated women since Roddenberry was going through a messy divorce at the time. Also Spock's Brain depicts the male population of the Eymorg planet as living on the surface and being savage barbarians so it inadvertently shows some equality. It really is a whole planet where everyone is painfully stupid, not just the women.

It seems a little absurd to be honest, then again Roddenberry may have been hitting his drug stash rather hard and something like that seemed like a good idea after your tenth or thirteenth hit of coke.

Current year Chapel is a whore because it's empowering, chud.
It's a long shot but I'm hoping there's more to it.
Like the first episode touching on STD-grade shit only to explicitly bring it back to a core trek ethic. Not necessarily a bad thing to acknowledge it if the idea is to move on from that.
Maybe they made Chapel fucking suck on purpose and are gonna rehabilitate her somehow. I'm probably nuts but wondering about it makes her more tolerable.

Or if not maybe we'll just start thinking of thots as neelixes; that might also be cool.
