And if it's really that good, I highly doubt that they'll get "that's what you guys should've been doing in the first place" message.

I'm holding out for a DS9 remaster, then I can finally bury my TV for good.I was never excited to begin with and The Orville has already ended (albeit in a pretty rushed way). In terms of sci-fi material, I have nothing to watch with, sadly, the Hulu Futurama revival to look forward to.

I haven't seen the 4K upgrades to the TNG movies yet , which apparently are already available on HBO Max. Supposedly they removed the piss filter from Generations, which is nice. So, we'll have those meh movies to revisit while we wait for the DS9 & Voyager remaster that aint never fucking happening.I'd be surprised if we see a DS9 remaster , in physical format anyways. Probably see Voyager first
It seems like I read about 10 years ago that they recovered some of the cgi assets for the DS9 and were trying to prep them for an hd remaster. But it seems that those assets were either too corrupt or just not complete enough to be able to use them. So unless someone comes forward with many millions of dollars we're not seeing an hd remaster of DS9 anytime soon. We'll see Avery Brooks come back for a super woke reboot before we see a remaster.....God help us all.I haven't seen the 4K upgrades to the TNG movies yet , which apparently are already available on HBO Max. iirc the digital assets of DS9 are mostly intact, and need only slight massaging to be brought up to CURRENT YEAR, but between the not-so-hot sales of remasters of TOS and TNG there's no real impetus for them to be done commerciallyIt seems like I read about 10 years ago that they recovered some of the cgi assets for the DS9 and were trying to prep them for an hd remaster. Maybe if they hadn't of changed so much shit with TOS...iirc the digital assets of DS9 are mostly intact, and need only slight massaging to be brought up to CURRENT YEAR, but between the not-so-hot sales of remasters of TOS and TNG there's no real impetus for them to be done commercially
honestly I still like TOS remixMaybe if they hadn't of changed so much shit with TOS...

Indeed. I mean, the "haters" are coming out and saying, "Hey, it's actually good." There's feedback that Terry Matalas knows what he's doing and is a genuine fan. Will they actually heed this? I mean, they could always save face and just produce a new show featuring that one actor that RMB and Dave Cullen were praising who I assume is "Picard Jr." and give what the fans want, saying "This is for them, Discovery is for you, Prodigy is for kids... Star Trek for everyone!"We simply don't know. I get the instinct to just stop watching, but if they change to good content and people don't watch. All that guarantees is that they won't get the message to make good content.
Discovery can only go a couple of more seasons until Tilly gets too fit on set. However, I don't think Kurtzman will get the message, or his pride'll be wounded and we'll end up getting ten more seasons of Discovery.
The good news is that the companies making WIDE angle lenses for the cameras they use are doing a booming business.Discovery can only go a couple of more seasons until Tilly gets too fit on set.
Sure, they'd get Tilly in frame, but it would make all the other actors two-dimensional.The good news is that the companies making WIDE angle lenses for the cameras they use are doing a booming business.
You know, for the budget of a couple episodes of Picard, you could actually remaster ALL of DS9. I don't want to hear about the disc sales. They were too expensive, and physical is a dying medium. Just hype them up on a streaming service. Come on, you KNOW people would sign up for that.

Honestly I'd like to see the cgi done with current tech, especially the battles scenes. I think a lot of them could be enhanced by using whatever cgi they could afford. Although a lot of the space scenes in Picard looked like ass.iirc the digital assets of DS9 are mostly intact, and need only slight massaging to be brought up to CURRENT YEAR, but between the not-so-hot sales of remasters of TOS and TNG there's no real impetus for them to be done commercially
