Interesting episode so far. I actually somewhat started to like Captain Shaw for the mental train wreck he is and how he is regardless still willing to work with Riker and Picard aka "haha oh fuck oh shit those guys are right-".

Caught something from last episode and the Ro's earring thumb drive scene:

It looks like the Enterprise-F cameo that has been talked about will probably be the ship's early retirement. This would make sense if Paramount nuTrek needs to close the book on that ship and replace it with their own design.

Looks like an uglier Ent. E.
The ship designs seem kind of out of place in this season, they are very 'Movie era TOS' in design, especially the Titan. Is it just me or is the Titan tiny? Like looking at the windows etc...it seems barely bigger than the Defiant.

That screenshot of Enterprise F is a pretty lousy one for depicting her. Her design was the winner in Star Trek Online's "Design the Next Enterprise" contest back in 2011.

I don't like it, it really doesn't wow me like the ABCD and E

If paramount wants to use their own design why did they go out of their way to use the odyssey class ship from STO? It isn't canon (at least until now) and didn't exist outside STO. Why not skip ahead and just use their own ship design?

Cause Paramount now owns Star Trek Online as of last year.

No it doesn't. STO is owned by cryptic, which is currently owned by gearbox and previously owned by PWI (a chinese company), atari and very early on in development, perpetual. STO was and is developed under a license. It is not and never has been owned by paramount, cbs or any other star trek related IP owner or affiliate. What paramount owns is the IP license for star trek. The only things paramount has anything to do with other than the fact they provided the license, is granting approval for certain things that appear in-game, which is why you don't see endgame TOS constitution ships, android bridge officers and several other things outside of lockboxes and why certain storylines and game aspects are subject to final approval. One of the most obvious was 'no evil factions' which is why they came out with the romulan republic and not the empire. Not that said logic fits when the very next faction to be released was the dominion and their literal genetically engineered killing machine soldiers that players have access to but cryptic doesn't like hearing about that

It's cheaper and will generate hype on the STO forums

Anybody reading the IDW comics lately? There was a relaunch with new #1, supposedly a new intertwined comic book continuity with only the TV/movies as canon. (The previous series just ended at #400.) Taking place shortly after the Dominion War--Sisko is back and leading a dream team with Data, Dr Crusher, future fatty Scotty, and a bunch of newbies. Jake's along for the ride.

When someone calls their vessel a She, some Vulcan ensign opposes "gendering" ships: instead of calling the ship It, he calls it They. Totally logikull dood~

There is some other stuff being published like a tie-in to a forthcoming video game starring Leah Brahams, and a couple DS9 miniseries. It all seems like a jump off from 90s Trek, so I'm happy to see it, but we'll see how far we go before getting polluted by modern stuff.

I'm not sure what's gone on in Trek comics for the last 20 years but maybe we can see some Xindi or other Enterprise aliens in the 24th century.

So, and I so goddamn hate asking this here but fuck it, is there going to be a Star Trek anime?
Man, I wish there was. At least, we got a good DS9 anime before DS9 was a thing: LoGh. The good guys won there, too.
