B’elanna was the fucking worst. And it’s kinda immersion breaking that with all the future tech, they can’t fix her neurotic 24-7 constant rage with 24 century prozac or something.
She's half Klingon and half spic, of course she's a raging cunt 24/7. Could you imagine how retarded a half nigger/half Pahkled would be?

Tom was tolerable, though his “He’s an outlaw, NO! He’s gone respectable!” Shtick got old pretty fast.
Don't forget the time he suggested that maybe the reason some races have more people in jail is because those races are more likely to commit crimes.

He basically disappeared since S1, probably because he messed up the coffee in the replicators or somsomething
not only that, but every time he did appear for awhile, it was a sign Voyager or someone had traveled back to the past.

It's almost like the writers were sure they had killed him but forgot they never actually did until the show was almost complete.

Remember when Sela's plan to invade Vulcan was to use Deep Fake Spock to endorse Romulan refugees in and when the game was found out, they blew up the refugee boats? If it were made today, she would have called the Vulcans racist for not letting in Romulan refugees and the Feds would be pussy enough to make Vulcan absorb them. Then the Romulans would be eating the Sehlats.

Finished Voyager today. Man I hated that final episode.
I hated it too. They're finally home but no... Despite the crew having started a new life home, Janeway the control freak doesn't like that, she wants a better ending so she goes back in time to change everything.
As a few pointed out, the "bad" ending of Voyager at first isn't that bad. Sure some people died and got sick, but they had been doing that all 7 seasons. Why go back at that point and not earlier and save others?
Exactly. Losing a few crewmen along the journey is tough but it's part of the risks of being in Starfleet. Also in terms of storytelling, it's more interesting to see the characters struggle with this.

You all forgetting only other person beside herself Janeway gave a fuck about is Seven of Nine. In the last episode Janeway even spell it out to other Janeway and the viewers as to why the time travel is being done just to save Seven. Although the official "on the record" it was to save the dozen or two crew men who got killed by what's-their-name before reaching the Federation.

Makes sense. No way in hell she'd go through all that if poor dumb Harry died.

And Seven in turn is only being saved in order to stop Chakotay from fucking killing himself lol.
What a clusterfuck.

Does Picard make this better or worse, by deciding that no, 7 doesn't give a shit about Chakotay, she's a dike now?
I'm actually genuinely curious, because 7 and Chakotay had no chemistry. But then again, neither did 7 and that black lady drug addict in Picard.

had no chemistry with anyone at any point. Maybe a bit with Janeway in that episode where they got stranded on a planet together but at the end of the day it still felt like yet another scene where <insert character> was written to be infatuated with Janeway because she's perfect.
That being said from what I've seen of Picard it shits all over everything, by far not just Seven, and I have no intention of ever watching it. Seven being a dyke flies in the face of her life experiences, ideals, upbringing and desires as portrayed in Voyager, as Voyager progresses she begins to show more interest in men, not women. So basically it's just a lazy DEI retcon and as such should be ignored with scorn.

What? Didn't she go back to save tuvock?

Seems like a push on that front. Seven just isn't a character built to have that kind of relationship. What I do find weird about her in Picard is that she joined Starfleet as a Command officer, not as a scientist. I might have said this earlier, but the difference between a Command Officer and everyone else is having a bunch of soft skills that can be very counter-intuitive to have. Which is exactly the one skill Seven never had and struggled with as part of her character in Voyager. Even in a social status sense, being a scientist running big, important experiments would let said scientist have clout with the Federation Council like Doctor Stubbs, so going through the Command Route as an officer seems like a really annoying waste of time to her. Can't see her kissing ass like Ensign Lavelle, whom is what your typical Command junior officer is like.

Been a while since I've seen the episode, but I think her main goal was to bring Voyager back earlier to avoid the multiple losses of crew that occurred, as well as getting Tuvok home earlier so his disease could actually be treated. I'm not sure if it was ever explained why she couldn't just go back to the Caretakers array? Or if she really wanted 7 of 9, right after she was integrated into the Voyager crew?

Nega-Janeway from "Deadlock" must have taken all of regular Janeway's positive characteristics to her grave. Hell, she sacrificed her whole ship in order to save her Harry and Naomi.

EDIT: Hell, now that I think about it, if Admiral Janeway had time travelled back to this point, she could have saved two Voyagers! But then Seven would be a Borg drone and not a bitter dyke... unacceptable!

Are we sure Picard doesn't take place in the fucking Mirror Universe?? I want to believe.

Maybe it's bigotry of low expectations, but season 3 was *almost* good. Certainly better than Trek has been since the mid 2000's at least.

It would be pretty lulzy to admit that the entire premise of the show was a mistake by having old Janeway undo Young Janeway's decision.

"Use the Caretaker's Array, otherwise you'll be trapped here for twenty years making schizophrenic decisions!"

It might have been a decent ending if not for the fact Janeway repeatedly doubled down on her decision and coped that getting stranded in DQ was great for exploration and shit.

The ultimate redemption for all of Voyagers bad writing is to undo the entire show in the final episode. I'd approve of it.
